Erika & Ray built an incredible 26' tiny home in Denver and afterward escaped busy city life for a more outdoor-focused lifestyle in Durango, CO. They scored a lot at the enchanting Island Cove mobile & tiny home park with a private island, mountain views, and a community garden! 🏞️👉 *Watch more Tiny Home Community Tours:* ru-vid.com/group/PLlvBXhDyr9H3XQbgDHQG23m1P_7LN1yyS
Very nice! The only thing I would have(I'm 64 yrs old) is I would have added a guard rail of some sort to those stairs. Other than that; perfect! Carolsue
The design of this tiny house is excellent and reflects the real needs of a family which has chosen to live in a tiny house. They have created a very livable and attractive space for long term living. Congratulations to Erika and Ray for their outstanding and creative design.
Best front door ever! And how nice to hear people made mistakes and changed afterwards. Tiny homes are so beautiful when the owners build them rather than the mass produced versions!
So the ladder is genius. I also like that when you look in the living room and it's the grays and blacks and neutrals then you turn around and look at the kitchen and further back and it's just colorful and beautiful. Love what you've done....oh, and the blue Dutch door too 😁
I LOVE that you're actually living in it with things. Most tiny houses are so barren and I almost always think, goodness don't these people eat or own anything.... love the home lived in feeling, rather than the I'm just passing thru feeling most have. Love the kitchen sink, penny floor, plants, the loft ladder-pure genius on that and all the creative storage ideas ex: bathroom access to mechanic room. GREAT home! Blessings and love to you both
Funny how we all like different things. This house gave me so much anxiety. Way too many things, every inch is filled with STUFF even the fridge was too much. I think why a lot of the tiny’s look barren is they try to have a space for everything to avoid clutter which can box some people in. I will say they’ve made the best house for their lifestyle & that’s what really matters 😊
Wow so many great little things on this Tiny they built! Love the ladder, multi-use table and chairs, and of course the heated towel rack! Another thing to add to my list of must-have items 😉😁🤣 What a super cool couple to hang out with!! Such a fantastic location and for so (relatively) cheap!! I but you all had an awesome time filming. Thanks for the wonderful video (again) and to Erika & Ray for allowing us into their awesome home.
Greatly appreciated Jake! These guys are the best, so down to earth and fun as hell. We love how livable this space, and as you mentioned, full of great details! ☺️❤️✨👌
Love the ladder! I like the rolling table, big copper sink and counter space too. I agree about the bottom freezer! The storage headboard is really nice. And I really like the overall layout of your place, and the community garden is great! And you close proximity to the water is fantastic!
Well done!!!! Controlled clutter - hooray! Yours is, without a doubt, one of the most realistic executions of tiny-meets-reality living out there! You have shown that one does not have to live in a sterile, photo-journalist show-place, without personal items to live tiny. Thank you!
@@TinyHouseExpedition Just the amount of people you meet along the way is so cool. Tips and tricks you learn, then sending all of us on video tours. I love your channel xx
This is so interesting to see a lived in Tiny house, it has all the comfort of home minus a washer but overall, perfect for relaxing cooking and entertaining. I like that it doesn't have that designer feeling. They have a lovely setting also. Love the hammock!!
I really enjoyed this video. First of all, what a cool couple they are! Their home looks like a REAL home! They have STUFF and a place for it. Very smart build, love the improvements in the design they've done, not only very practical but it's beautiful as well. Great job on that Dutch door! Because they've made a place for all of their things, with 2 dogs you'd think you'd be tripping over things everywhere, but you aren't. They knew they had dogs, and they did the build with their family in mind. Who couldn't be more than comfortable in that home?? LOVE IT!!
It's kind of dark and cluttered yet comfortable and homey feeling. I like it, and all the practical storage solutions. The ladder is very cool. Strange that the bedroom is the lightest place in the house, but it works. I like the big kitchen window. And the overall design, saltbox roof, Dutch door etc.
Your tiny is spectacular ! I enjoy it when a couple knows what they want then works hard to achieve that goal particularly when it's not a cookie cutter (a/k/a earn and spend) life. Kudos to you both !
Cheers from Mississauga, Ontario Canada & Coron Palawan Philippines. I love it! I watched many tiny home videos but there's something special about your home. Great job you two!
I watch MANY tiny home videos. Have constant design ideas flowing since early childhood. Must say ditto to all comments here. A most liveable, comfortable, functional and welcoming home. Blessing!
I thoroughly enjoyed this vlog. You are both very creative and have some great storage solutions. You are so smart to have built your tiny home and own it outright. I look at the price of homes and wonder how young families will ever be able to afford a house. Your home is very comfortable and cozy. Plus, you live in a beautiful area!
Love the area where they have chosen to live. Especially like that they have a garden allotment. Also special is the”island.” Nice tiny home. Great area for them to “play” in when not in their house.
Looks like a fun place lot,s of bright colours , love that table set and how the chairs hide in it very cool , This is unique they actually have / own things , nice big kitchen window love the dutch door , there is so much i love about this place .
I’m loving this Tiny House it’s a home where you would instantly feel comfortable & welcome it’s got that rustic feel about it & I personally love the open shelves rather than cupboards it makes the space not so claustrophobic! It’s nice to be located within a Tiny house community too, great way to make new friends, they seem to be a lovely couple & I imagine their well liked. I wish them well for the future with their furry family..
@@TinyHouseExpedition Yes I agree, that's what I would like, but in the UK unfortunately it's not the same here, it is slowly changing so maybe in the next few years it will change & hopefully I'll have tiny house or van then 😀
Love it! So much thought/ inventions involved..Coming from NY I always think about the weather in the winter and not want to go out in the cold and feeling confined to such a small space would be hard...Happy you all love your space..Enjoy it!!
Great couple that actually live in the house that is a home and not " DO NOT TOUCH ANYTHING" , cold like a showpiece catalog set up 😜.... BRAVO 👏👍🏻👏👍🏻👏
Have always loved this tiny house! Really neat to get a chance to see all the upgrades and changes since we were last in it!! Love to see you two happy and well. ❤️ and these lil ones too 🐶 🐶
Beautiful and so cosy. I'd like a stationary tiny house. Your fur babies are so cute and I'll adopt your choice to by many plants, to make the living space cosy
While I'm not in a traditional tiny home, I recently found myself looking for a new place to live with my small young puppy. I guess early campers and RV's were tiny homes before the were constructed from scratch. So, two weeks ago I found myself in need of a place to live. My pup is small, takes up no floor space, his crate stays on the bed, for lack of a better spot! The RV was the perfect shell to start tiny while creating new spaces within my camper for tiny living. I have the same oven/stove combo. Worthless for anything more than a frozen pizza! Getting a convection/toaster oven to replace the oven (if I can riadt a chicken in it, i'm good with that. I'll be looking for an invite for Thanksgiving or a restaurant with Turkey dinner! moving in! The more pick up truck-fuls I get... the more space that's magically appearing! I still need to get more creative inside the cabinets to create more separation between items. They tend to get stacked on top of each other, making the bottom layer stuck!
@@TinyHouseExpedition Awwww! Thank you! Little bump in the RV park... I am getting a site with a one year lease, is have a three month you switch over. This keeps me in the RV park permanently. As a new single person, that's a huge comfort. RV spots in Florida, especially in the winter months are at a premium!!!!! Yikes
If you can get a good countertop convection oven (think Breville) and an induction burner (Ikea has one you can hang on a wall when not in use), you’ll be all set. I have both of these in my small “regular” house because a full range with burners is a waste of space for me. I’m pulling out my old nonworking range and inserting a SS restaurant style work table. The Breville and burner will go on top and cookware on the shelf below. Better use of space.
I really loved this couple & their perfectly designed& curated homes could move in immediately! They seem to have a completely sustainable lifestyle that will allow for financial security as well as extra resources now that their mortgage is completely paid off. I keep coming back to rewatch this video! It’s 1:41 exactly where & how I’d like to live my life. Kudos on your fantastic designing, building & decorating skills! (😍 your Dutch door & kitchen…& the living room, bedroom…oops, I guess I just ❤ EVERYTHING about your home). Take care & best wishes for a fabulous future!
Erika & Ray ... Thank you for the tour. It's a lovely spot you snatched up there. This is something I will be looking for in the future. I love taking notes on all these videos. You guys are so helpful.
Much thought went into ur tiny home. Love the lay-out and all the lighting. Cool Penny floor in the bathroom. TY for the ideas and sharing the viewing of ur cozy tiny home. Best wishes for the two of you.
Thank You for sharing your home. I’d love to live there because my Grandson & I are really into trains and I’m guessing it’s the home of the Durango & Silverton RR. Plus I love exploring old mines. Wonderful vibe and use of space in your home.
Durango is a very nice town in a great location. It is nice to see they have found a way to afford to live there. Not far from them near the Animas River is a home that is made of two cabooses joined together with a small site built connection. I do not know if it is still there since I have not been to Durango in about 20 years, but it would be an interesting feature as a tiny home.
Love you guys! Thanks for posting this video and for showcasing the community it's parked in. Nice to see a legal option to park, that works well for them. I'm so curious how the community is as a whole? Does everyone keep to themselves or is it more of an intentional style of living? The homes were so close together! The garden is such a great feature!
@@LastChanceTinyHouse Hey Wilber! The roof is the only part of our build we contracted out for. The Interlock roof is amazing! It isn’t cheap but the light weight, durability, and warranty were well worth the cost. The panels are manufactured in BC, Canada but we found a contractor near us in Littleton, CO to install it.
Neighours who share GOOD smelling smoke. What a nice change. I don't have an air fryer. I actually don't have any counter top cooking things other than a toaster.
I could have kept watching this video for another ten or twenty minutes! Almost every feature they pointed out was different from other tiny houses in some way. The ladder is definitely one they should patent. They are living a dream life instead of just dreaming about it!
Beautiful, beautiful video👍🤗. Lovely home in lovely location. Nice windows. Love the dutch door. Ray, thank you muchly for demonstrating ladder descent. I am not good with ladders. Again, thank you.☺️
If I ever go tiny I would need two tiny houses. This family still have a lot of stuff that they seem to really want, so I think they should get another tiny house so that their space is not so cluttered.
