@@abroadwiththeburrells now did you both travel during the pandemic to Jamaica, or is this an older trip?

@@rhondisacotton5037 This was a trip from a few years ago. Things obviously have changed just a bit since then. However, our family was recently on a resort trip to Mexico and outside of the necessity of wearing masks when wondering the resort and having to be tested before arrival, everything was remarkably similar to how things were pre-pandemic. That may also be the case for Couples Negril, but don't quote us on that :)

@@rhondisacotton5037 The locals told us you'll find them all over Jamaica and that they get bit just like us. In fact one put this way "The sand flies don't take it easy on us just because we're Jamaican. They bite us just the same". Funny thing is, some people had little to no issue with them, while others, like ourselves, got lit up! Not sure why some people attract them over others. Most people had some sort of bug repellent on hand, as did we, it just didn't work very well for us. Maybe we had the wrong brand. You may go and be just fine, i think we took enough bites for everyone :)

Hi! First, congratulations to you and your husband! We left our camera with the parasailing crew and they offered to take video of us, which we gladly accepted. The Office of Nature is not included with your resort and yes, make sure to bring cash! I didnt (even though Jamie warned me to) and had to run all the way back to the resort to get it. Shoulda listened to the wife, lol. American dollars are definitely accepted.

@@MsMaxine215 So glad the video helped and inspired! That is the aim of each and every video we post, "a channel for travelers, by travelers" lol. I couldn't agree more, a comp would be really nice, maybe we should start a petition! Lol, jk, jk. For the voucher, when you first arrive, they hand you a questionnaire to fill out. We simply checked, "on our honeymoon" and as a result they blessed us with a $250 voucher. They may offer a similar perk for wedding vow renewal but I'm not certain. Let us know if that's the case!

@@abroadwiththeburrells we were torn on which to book back then but after seeing your video we were happy that neither was the wrong choice. I have heard that CSA has gone downhill and it broke our hearts to hear that. The employees were absolutely fantastic to us in 2019.

It all depends really. The flies seem to be selective. Some guests had zero problems with them and others were a walking buffet! Deep woods offered very little resistance for us, sadly. We can say this, even with the flies, we had an incredible time so don't allow that to deter you! Best wishes and thanks for watching! Please be sure to drop an update when you return :)

We'll be returning in July and will be able to give an updated review then. From what we can tell things are still mostly intact with minor changes here and there :)

We have been to Negril 10 or 12 times. Swept Away has a larger crowd. Negril,not so much. A little more laid back,crystal clear water, very nice sized beach, and great for floating. Oh theres also more floats than people. Take the catamaran ride out of Bloody Bay. I think it runs twice a week. (its free). OK this is the story I was told of Bloody Bay. Out at one corner was a cannon. Pirate ships would just move farther to left to avoid being hit. Then they built another cannon at other corner and cross-fired at ships and sunk them. Hence the title Bloody Bay!! All water sports included also!!

Congrats you guys! Actually, the shuttle wait wasn't long at all and they provide a little lounge and some Red Stripe on tap to help pass the time. The ride to the resort from the airport is about an hour and a half. There is also the option to take a short flight to the resort which, we were told, takes about 15 mins. When you land, there will be people presenting you with that option. We didn't mind the shuttle as we got to see the Jamaican countryside and it's little towns and villages, and also grab a little nap. The shuttle is comfortable and air conditioned. Hello! You are actually encouraged not to tip at all. The resort maintains that tips are already included in your booking price. However, if someone is particularly attentive throughout our trip, we like to leave them a little something at the end. We, however, do not tip everyone, every day for every service.

We're not too sure about that. I would guess that they don't. We don't remember anyone doing those classes for free, however, don't quote us on that. Sorry we are unable to provide a more concrete answer.

We stay at CN may 2021 also January 2022 only difference is mask wearing in doors spaces is required the best all inclusive small easy to access all areas resort. Child free for two people in love with soo much fun to be had full bar 🍸 in room drinks to enjoy

If memory serves, you're required to register as at least two people when you go. We have heard stories of people registering with a single friend and going that way, so we know it's possible to get there as a single person. However, if we're being honest, 100% of the people we encountered were couples so you just may stand out a bit. However, that may not bother you at all, so I suppose the choice is yours :)

We'd say at least business casual, however, it's not strictly enforced.

There is a section of the beach that is reserved for those that want to be nude. It's pretty easy to avoid if you're not into that and there's a small amount of people that opt in. We found out how to skirt it without any problem.

To be honest, we're not sure about that. We didn't see any while we were there, but that doesn't mean it is disallowed. That's something that certainly requires some looking into. Thanks for watching!
