We spent our five year anniversary at Couples Swept Away. A 17 acre resort along the seven mile beach in Negril, Jamaica! Since we do not work for the Jamaican Board of Tourism, you can expect a genuine and honest review.

We just got back a few days ago from Swept Away and everything you said about the staff and their attitude was spot on! Some were nice. Most were not. The locals on the beach hassling you all day to buy their stuff is also annoying. Everything else was amazing though.

The salmonella was probably from the flies, I am surprised they don't spray natural stuff every morning. I really enjoyed this video, you all seem really cool, and I was taken down memory lane. I went to Swept Away in 2006 with my ex-wife and it was an amazing experience that neither of us will forget. When I was there The Catamaran was great and it took you to Ricks cafe cliffs, I actually dove from like 40 feet up lol. My pecs hurt for 2 days 🤣... I drank that "liquid courage" rum punch. Memories. I'll be returning ASAP/.... Also the silent disco has me dead lol

Hi from England! This was the best video i've watched on the resort!! 🤩We are booked to go start of December for 2 weeks. We've booked the Great House Verandah suite. Is this the room you guys had? What did you think of the room? Was it all really clean and how did you find the bed? We're so excited, but I've recently seen a few people say about the rooms needing renovations on Tripadvisor? I like the rustic vibe, just a bit worried theres marks and chips on furniture, funky smells, grub in the tiles that kind of stuff? Sorry for all the questions! Thanks so much 😊

Hi! Greetings and welcome to the channel! No, we booked the Garden Suite, however we met a couple that was in the Great Houses Verandah (they were also from England also) and we ended up hanging out with them quite a bit. A group of us chilled in their room one evening and it was VERY nice! Their room was very clean and well kept. Ours was nice as well, however, there were a few spots where a fresh coat of paint would've been welcome, however, nothing to complain about or that put a stain on the experience. Smells where just fine and there was no grime in any of the tile work. In fact, the bathrooms where pristine and lovely! You guys will thoroughly enjoy your accommodations!

Hey Guys. How are you? We met yall at the swimming pool the night before yall left. We were in the pool, yall were not. LOL We also were with you at the glass bottom boat tour as well as the silent disco. I don't think one of the ladies in the squad made the bottom boat tour though. We had a blast. We go every year and are going back the end of July.

Ayyy! We remember you guys! It was actually Jamie that was unable to make the boat tour, haha! Have fun this year for us, the squad will be in Santorini, Greece this summer but we'll definitely make our way back to Jamaica in a little bit. Hopefully we'll see all you guys again soon!

@@abroadwiththeburrells do you know how the weather is at end of March for Negril? I’ve only ever Dona cuba AI and my boyfriend has never done all inclusive so I want the whole lush greenery and flowers for this trip and of course the white sand

We're going to CSA in a week for our honeymoon. Now I'm a bit nervous that we made the wrong choice in hotel, especially with your concerns about salmonella!

Let's hope the problem has been rectified and the week we were there was only an anomaly. It's still a great resort, I'm sure you guys will be fine and have a wonderful time :)

Does the resort have any "jamaican vibes"? I have watched several vids and don't hear any reggae music being played, only saw American music. Do they play reggae music at any of the bars there?

Me and my GF are going there is about a month...do we have to reserve the restaurant long in advance or we can just show up? And do they have a ''dress code'' like no short no sandals Ect ?

You can risk just showing up and that will work for some of the restaurants, however, there are others where that may not work. Our suggestion is to go to the concierge when you first arrive and ask them to recommend the places where you should get an early reservation. DO NOT delay with this if you truly want to dine at every restaurant. We hope that helps!

@@steph_frogs75a86 Congrats on the upgrade! Please let us know if the upgrade is worth the extra money. We always figure we're not gonna be in the room much and don't necessarily splurge on the accommodations. However, we spent time with a couple we met at the resort and their room was one of the upper tier options. It was awesome! Kinda made us rethink our philosophy, lol. Let us know how it works out!
