In this tutorial, I'm going to show you how to run multiple combines on one field using Courseplay 6, You can run up to eight combines but for the purposes of this video we'll stick to three. Its a great way of covering a lot of acres especially on massive fields and especially when you are running big US maps this really comes into it's own.
Courseplay is possibly one of the most helpful mods you can download for Farming Simulator 19, it has a wealth of tools to help you manage multiple fields and machines at the same time, and in some cases fully automating some of the tasks you need to do so you can concentrate on other things.

Awesome, I needed this. Use it for multiple plows mainly but so thankful you have a tutorial on convoys. Also tried to do this with 4 combines and used AutoDrive for setting up tractors to unload them and dump to a semi trailer, then the semi goes to unload at my main silo. Never would have been able to do that without this vid, thanks so much.

Ahhh THANK YOU for this vid - I had no idea this was possible and CP in 17 scared me right off, but this guide was perfect, as I type this I have a 4 tractor convoy laying potatoes over 100 acres which I'd never in a million years consider doing otherwise! Your vids have been a revelation and completely re-engaged me into FS19 again and I'm now fully immersed: in the past 2 weeks I've downloaded about 100 mods , just bought the full wheel and side panel bundle and got Sim Dashboard going. My gf thinks I'm completely insane. She may be right, but so what - thank you FSG!

Thank you, i really needed this, since although i may be doing two of the "smaller" fields of the Wild West 16x map, it takes forever with one combine, and i don't tend to manually run them myself, so this function of courseplay helps a ton.

@@TheFarmSimGuy For some unknown reason i have set it all up correctly, and rewatched your video a few times to make sure, but everytime i press run course, it does nothing and it folds the implement.

@@grainy4145 Hmm, it's so difficult to diagnose what the issue is without seeing it first hand, have you tried different combines? it's possible a mod issue? The other thing is sometimes the shape of the field can only handle a certain amount of combines (tight turns or narrow parts)

I have multiple contracts going on coursplay. Babysitting them is funny, I found one of my transport trucks wrapped around a pole that wasn't even close to his track on the highway. Also my potato transport drove into the large pond in Griffin. 😆

im having a problem. So im doing everything you told me, so the first 2 harvesters actually do their job but the 3rd harvester it harvests this other peice of the field and it isnt next to the other harvesters. Can you help?

I have a big big farm on fs19 and this is very helpful because I WOULD NOT be able to stand using 1 combine on the fields i have they are so big it may be part of the fact i have ADHD (possibly, i show all symptoms) and that im very impatient

How do you get them to not over lap? I've tried this with cotton and I get seem to get it to work just right. they over lap lanes pretty harshly and it takes forever it seems. can you do one with cotton maybe?

I can get Courseplay to work with 1 vehicle but can't seem to get it to work with more than that. I've tried several times now. I will keep trying as I love the idea of it!! Wish me luck!

@@TheFarmSimGuy thanks! One vehicle works very well. If I add another they seem to ignore the "set apart" distance and ram into each other...especially when they make auto runs to unload. I'm sure it is user error and I will figure it out one day!

Have watched this video about a dozen times now trying to find a setting that I am missing but can't seem to see anything different to solve the issue I'm having, I set up 2 combines to do 1 headland pass they do that fine but once they start going up and down the field they don't seem to follow the lines and I've noticed they'll skip sections and sometimes the left combine runs down the right side of a line and vice versa, ever had any similar problems?

If you bump up the number you get options like. x1 left, 2x left and so on

Hmmm. OK. Q. How do you avoid the header crash issue when running multiple combines? On row turn the headers collide and stop the harvesters with some of the headers. Multiple combines works perfectly on headlands but above issue strikes a lot on rows.

They should stagger the rows so the first combine in cuts 3 rows over, so the second and third combines are always following and should never have a situation where they are heading towards each other in adjacent rows. make sure you turn convoy on too. Of course at the end of the day it’s Courseplay and sometimes odd thing happen but the majority of times I’ve had no issues with them crashing into each other as long as I’ve remembered to turn on all the settings. 👍

No all the headers need to be the same width, if you use 4 combines it basically creates a course and divides it by 4 so if you had a smaller header on one of the combines it wouldn’t get all the crop. You could run different brands of combine through as long as the headers were all the same width 👍

Just followed this step by step with one exception, the maximum distance on my course play is minimum distance instead.. The first one goes off fine but the last two take sharp turns off the field lol, any ideas?

Sounds like maybe you have two courses loaded, that's usually what happens when they run off the field. Other options are the field is a funny shape and can't handle three combines running in unison 👍

i will probably wont get the answer since this is older video but i still play fs19 and i would like to know how to set 2 combines but with different cutter sizes ? i know its possible but somehow i cant find any info about it :( any answer would be appriciated

Hi, surprise, I still read the comments 😊👍 I’ve not found a way that it’s easy to do without causing more frustration that using two headers of the same width. You could try using lands as a setting which. Could potentially help, would be interested to hear if you work it out 👍

@@TheFarmSimGuy so, i got the answer, and it actually sounds kinda simple: "Add working with together, devide that by the amount of combines. Then generate a course with that width and the amount of tools on course. The only thing left is to give them the offset to be spread even on the course." First part is pretty easy, but that offset might take few tries to set right 🤔 Guess he ment "width" instead of "with" but i might be wrong, i am not native english speaker 😛

The other feature, a combine calling for a truck, caught me offguard. It is a bit chaotic, chugs a Ryzen 1600x for a couple seconds, doesn't work every time, but in general it is very sucessfull at unloading a single combine. You can combine (no pun) all that and have a truck unloading all 3...

I actually think Autodrive unloads combines a lot better than courseplay does

@@TheFarmSimGuy Yes, it requires an actual intervention to park near combine, then off it goes. I use Autodrive to get to the field, followMe to unload, then send it back to autodrive to dump in a silo.

I have a combine that the header goes 12mph and it should let my combine go 12mph but it won’t it only goes 8mph how do I go about this issue with course play ?

Adjust the on field speed in courseplay, or make sure your cruise control speed isn’t set too low

@@wilsonchandler There's a speedometer icon for one of the menus which lets you adjust speeds for cornering, on-field speed, road speed etc. I'm not on FS19 so can't tell you exactly where it is but it's in the middle of the top row of icons

@@wilsonchandler try bumping the speed way up in courseplay, courseplay speeds are weird and often the mph is actually kilometers (i.e. .5 of the actual speed in mph) so bump the field speed to atleast 2x what you want to go

@@codycundiff3506 When using the combine it is under the courseplay settings tab (the one with the gear logo) "Harvester Straw discharge" set it to deactivated. I believe you also need to do this for each seperate combine as well.

Hmm that is strange, to run three combines you must have a large square field, if there are small areas that won’t fit 3x combines it will break the course, I don’t know what map or field you are working on but I’m making a guess that could be the issue.

@@TheFarmSimGuy I have 8 fields, including fields 9 and 21, the largest, then I have 6, which I joined with 7, and fields 25, 12, 18, 19, 13, 4. In all this happens, it only works correctly with 2 harvesters if you try to use 3 the error happens, for example, when firing the first 2 harvesters they work but when firing 3 it gets lost and I can't make it work without it doing what it wants and destroying the plantation, Rssss

Seems that for me that courseplay freaks out, in some odd fields, when you use more than 2 combines

Yes that's usually down to a field where there's perhaps not enough space to accomodete three combines wide

@@TheFarmSimGuy Yes it's probably because the path won't fit in an inside corner, like for example that tip on field 9 on flint hills. Third combine just ran off for the hills, on a 45 degree angle

@@JohanBos That'll be exactly the problem, on huge square fields like Welker farms I've had 5 running with no issues, but never managed more than 2x on Flint Hills without a few challenges.
