As for your trouble with seeing where you've spread fertilizer, I would recommend using the "soil composition" tab and just hit escape really fast to see where you need to go
Nicely done. For most people just those basics is all they will ever need. But as we both know there is so much more you can do with the mod. It really is very under rated. Especially if you are running solo on a large map.
I bought the game yesterday. Found some bits to be tedious. After having a look at your video, i think courseplay adds a whole new level of excitement to the game. Thanks for the tutorial. It was great

I tried using the GPS steering mod but it made my game freeze at loading map screen. I had tried to use corseplay before but had so many issues no one showed clearly on how to use. Thanks for all of your beginners vids awesome teacher.

Advanced question. With the Wilson trailers having two hoppers, I'm having issues with the auger wagon/ chase bin getting stuck waiting at the first point for the first hopper and not moving on to the second one, once the first hopper is full. Any ideas?
Yeah generally I’d avoid using a dual hopper trailer if you are running a chase bin, Courseplay only recognises the first hopper. The other option is to run the Wilson Pacesetter Super B that you can get from the modhub as it recognises that as two separate trailers
Had it working all good but now I can’t generate fields. I can’t pick the field it just says (currently loaded course) and in manage courses down the bottom left says (no course loaded)? Idk what to do
Hey, yeah that’s because there isn’t enough headland space to be able to make a turn and start a new row, two options are, add another headland or two at the start or do skip rows which makes the curve of the turn a lot shallower 👍
Thanks for the tutorials. I haven't tried Course play since FS17 because I had to many issues. Your tutorials are easy to follow. I'm having a lot better luck with it this time. I was wandering how I would use course play with two implements, the rear one slightly wider. The John Deere plow and disc harrow from the in game mod hub? Have you tried two implements together like this? Thanks
Thanks, glad they have been helpful, I’ll be honest I’ve not tried with two different width implements, your safest bet is to make sure the width is set to the narrower of the two implements, it means you’ll get a bit of overlap with the wider implement but you won’t miss any bits. Fantastic video but would you recommend course play over the default in game helper? I have to say i've noticed that in multiplayer the in game helper does miss a lot in the fields and how well does course play handle a field you make yourself or if you combine fields in the game?
I need help when I select courseplay as I enter a save game all is well until it will never load into game what am I doing wrong it wil stay loading game forever and if I deselect it it loads perfectly
New to course play in general. I downloaded it from Modhub but the default buttons are all R-ALT+NUM pad numbers and symbols. I can't seem to be able to use the mouse to go through the options to make it functional as it appears in your tutorial. Any help to get the keyboard shortcuts erased so I can use the mouse to select my options??
Even if you have the keys mapped the mouse should still work, Delete is my only key I use to pull up the HUD, but you can also disable all the keystrokes in the settings menu too 👍
having issues with courseplay starting on headlands and skipping the first go around. Have to drive past the first point and then start the drive. Its very odd. Came here to see if i was doing something wrong.
Dear FarmSimGuy, as a 74 year old using this sim for less than a week I was finding it an uphill struggle until I found your site full of wonderful tutorials which have taught me all I need to know to progress. That is until I tried CoursePlay using v7.2.0.2 which appears to be completely different to this tutorial. Even after following your tutorial I cannot find any of the menus you used on this new version. Is there any chance you could point me in the direction of how to use 7.2.0.2 please?
Hi Peter, so glad you have discovered and are enjoying the game, this is an old video from the last version of the game, the team at courseplay completely redesigned the interface for Farming Simulator 22. As they keep developing it I’ve held off doing a tutorial, but am actually in the process of pulling one together just now so could be released in the bit too distant future. In the meantime You could check out Farmer Cop’s tutorials on courseplay for FS22
No it’s in the little cluster of 6 buttons to the right of your enter key on a standard keyboard, if you are using a compact keyboard which doesn’t have those just rebind it to a different key 👍
Love the vid :) But I have a question, hopefully someone can help me out. I play on a very large map, 16x and don't always get to finish my course runs. Is there a way, or how do I start my course play from where it left off? I often have to quit half way through harvesting, when I come back I have to re-start the field from scratch. Even with convoy, the fields can take up to 2 or even 3 hours to complete. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
@@Kwhooper If you just pull up at the point you left off (if you saved your course) just select the 'Next Closest Waypoint' at the 'Start Course At' option. This always works very well for me. If you did it correctly it does not return to the starting point.
@@thegamingscotsman4018 are you in the field you want to work on? if not make sure you are within the boundary of the field (then on the map click on the field you want to work on)
That has happened to me recently, I think there might be an issue with the newer version of courseplay, When It happened to me, once the headlands were complete I just found the first row where the combine would have started and selected next closest waypoint and started it again, not ideal, but after that it ran fine on the up and down rows.
@@andrewbassett6593 Yeah it had no issues, if it only moved 20ft, did you try hitting the "drive now" button? sometimes that kicks it back into life too

Great vid! I am using Courseplay on my Mac, since it just recently came out on the mod hub. I can no longer press the X button or the settings button and things like that. Do you possibly know what the problem is? Thanks
Unfortunatell this Case from last part is broken and it is not cooperating with bulit in hire worker also with Courseplay. Shame because it is good looking machine. Hope they will fix it one day.

very good video i have a question when i save a course lets say seeder on 17 then i do course on 18 and save it how do i load each course if i wanna run 17 again or go back to 18
Third button along (shaped like a globe) is where your saved courses would be, click on the folder to load them in (make sure you have cleared your previous course before doing so (hit the cross in the circle in the Play menu)
Its my first time using couresplay and i click right mouse button it does not open so i try ctrl delet still does not work so is there any different keys that might open it
Sounds like you have the previous course still loaded, you’ll see a cross in a circle bear the top right of the courseplay popup, hit that to remove old courses once you’ve finished the field 👍
@@TheFarmSimGuy thanks for the reply. Unfortunately I’ve been playing with it all day. It continues to map both fields together even when I don’t have any others previously (new game for example). I decided to say screw it and have one tractor do both fields
@@TheFarmSimGuy unfortunately it wasn’t good enough for me so I was playing around with it and after hours of editing the path with an external app I found a solution in-game. For anyone else having this problem, TURN OFF AUTO-SCAN. Drive into the field you want to path, open the menu and scan the field boundaries. Save it, then load it and generate the path. It worked like a dime.
So I’ve watched this video a number of times. I’ve tried different tractor and plows. And my guy always goes squiggly. Round after round. Kinda like your spreader guy. Any ideas what I might be doing wrong?
@@Kwhooper And your speed in Courseplay is right up? (turn up turn speed etc too) also have you tried a different plow or tractor? just to check it's not a mod issue
help: for some fields when its trying to make a course for a field it freezes up and does nothing. i can still hear the game but i can't do anything and it only happens for some fields!! i need help on this bug!
Hard to say Stewart without knowing your setup, but usually in situations like this best to try creating a game and only loading in Courseplay and no other mods, if it works, you have a mod clash somewhere, if it's still crashing, check you have the latest version too, on the github there is a link to the latest release.

Elm Creek Stevie 4k, Course play doesn't see any fields. Is there a fix for this? So I can't even get to the point that you are at 1:45 into this video.
I'm new to using Courseplay. And I know this video (and this game) is a bit in the past... however... I had been using the mod, had to quit out of the game, and started using the mod again after reloading in to the save file. Now, if I were to stop the driver, the machine I had used the mod on has a cruise control value of zero and the machine itself will barely move forward. If I start using courseplay again, the machine is back to having normal forward movement. And when this issue is happening, reverse works just fine. It's as though there's some kind of parking break on the machine when attempting to drive forward. Any chance you've ran in to this?
Difficult without seeing it in action but you can adjust the speeds in courseplay so it’s possible you have the field speed set low go into that tab and max it out see if that helps (it’ll only ever run to the working speed of the implement) let me know how you get on 👍

For some odd reason when i try to click a field that i own it doesn't like say its field 19 or 33 it just doesn't work it just says ( Currently loaded course ) can someone help me?
You will probably have helper buy on as an option for seed and fertilizer in your game settings, you'll know if your money is going down when you are spreading or planting
Once you click on fieldwork you have to still go the rough the process of setting up the course, it also depends on your implement, if you are using a seeder or sprayer you don’t use fieldwork but choose seeding and fertilising instead
