Hi. Courtney hasn't really said much about what inspired her to release an animated version for the official video of Jagged. You're right in that she's never released an animated full length music video before (she's done a bunch of animated clips on TikTok), but I think it is a very cool video and it rocks, just like Jagged does as a song. As someone else suggested, it may be to save resources for the album. Maybe it's simply a matter of Courtney not having the kind of time it would take to do a full video shoot, with all of the album activity that's going on. My personal opinion is that Courtney wanted to try something new. Her creativity is off the charts and there never seems to be a shortage of unique ideas floating around in that amazing brain. I think it's nothing more than her wanting to do something original and different from anything that she's done before. Whatever the reason, I think the animated version, as a change of pace, is a home run, and the video is fabulous.
On the night the animated music video was released, Courtney posted the following reply on Facebook to a fan's comment about the video, "the animation video was my idea. This song was a very last minute release and we weren’t supposed to release it so we had to quickly get something video wise on RU-vid in time for you guys with being busy with everything else for the album, so this seemed like a good idea so you guys still got some kind of visual" Releasing "Jagged" was pretty much a spur of the moment decision and since it's not on the upcoming album, the animated video was a quick alternative to the traditional music video. Personally, I think the animated music video is cool and really creative and yet another example of Courtney's ability to think outside the box.
Her song has the answer-That's just the way it is. She is a once in a life timer that is hard to read at times. She felt that it was the best for her at the time??????
Whenever I think I've learned to expect the unexpected from Courtney Hadwin she amazes again. She dropped a post said she's going to London next week to record some fun things and I'm tempted to guess (Sina, a young German lady who's been a RU-vid sensation on the drums for about a decade when she was in her early teens moved to London and Courtney has confirmed they've been in touch) but I'm not gonna speculate no more🙃 Great to see you react to a third video for Jagged! Always a pleasure!
Good and Nice.... but ... PLEASE, go on speculating! Because this is one of my major sources of Courtney-Learning🤯. Some People might think this animated Video is not great enough or the whole release is not professional to represent this "Mega Star in the Making", but I Am Telling Y'All 😂 it's far cute enough. This needed to be "stated" (in case of "stated" is wrong word, use "SAID"! And yes this reaction video is a documentary as the York Q&A itself. This Album must come out! Can't wait. 🤣 Right?☺🤓
@@ThomasDittberner OK I can't really stop speculating anyway🤣🤣🤣 "Either "stated" or "said" is fine, "stated" is more formal, "said" is more common, I would probably use "said" here but it really doesn't matter👍
@@prakaklef Thank you Prakaklef. With you on my side I will even learn English. Here I'd prefer "stated" because I love to hang the thinks much higher than necessarily should be. Please, if you get any wind of a Courtney performance anywhere possible to get there give me a hint. You and very few others seem to know where Courtney's Journey is going to. Again many Thanks. Tom 🤓
It is such a cute and quirky video, really shows her personality. I love that guitar too. I'm pretty sure the other guitarist could be Spork, from the latest Toy Story movie, but I could be wrong.
I presume that this is Ms. Courtney Hadwin trying out some 'generative AI' tools that are, for this kind of animation, vastly less costly than a traditional music video. I could be way off base. But that's my first guess. This short JAGGED track was meant, as I understand it, as a quick little drop for fan base, it's NOT on the debut album as I understand it. Again, I could be totally wrong. But doing a music video RIGHT is expensive. At least for an indie budget. She's trying, I presume, to keep finances focused on the upcoming release of debut album and on trying to find way to kickstart pulling together a band and starting touring once debut album drops. So much has changed, even just since the pandemic first hit at beginning of 2020. So much about music industry is in flux. Trying to figure out what's the best path forward is, I suspect, a SERIOUSLY COMPLEX UNDERTAKING. And the fact that venues and ticketing are all tied up in a few worldwide conglomerates that control live music performances and also own, or are owned by, the holding companies that own top record labels doesn't help at all. Challenging time to try to create a career in live music. It's unfortunately no longer quite as simple as Brad Paisely and Keith Urban put it in their track 'Start a Band' -- although both of them would likely not describe the process as EASY anyway. Keith's career in Country Rock is a good case study. See his various interviews, including his recent visit from Rick Beato, for more insights. Then again, the Nashville (Country Music) scene is VASTLY DIFFERENT than the LA-centric pop and rock music scene. Even down to how the studios and session musicians work. Still, there's a LOT to learn from the professionals in 'Music City' (Nashville).
Probably she's trying to keep finances focused on the life of an Artist without dealing with the Majors of the music industry. This sometimes can save Lives, you see. Have a nice Day. 🤓
