Where do we see in the scriptures examples of what to do or not do on Shabbat? Rabbi Steve Berkson takes us into some to the fine points regarding our behavior on Shabbat. He also gives us his favorite two verses that can be used to make a decision on anything that you may or may not do on Shabbat.
Is Isaiah 58 only referring to Yom Kippur? Rabbi Steve gives us his thoughts. How about Colossians 2:16-those who would judge you regarding the Sabbath? Rabbi Steve clarifies what this passage is referring to. What about the famous issue of “the ox in the ditch”? It may not be what it seems.

Interesting that you mentioned the tzittzit on Shabbat. I had a friend ask me to make a set for her, but without thinking, I started one on Shabbat. The next day I realized that one had been made on the sabbath, so I told her I couldn't sell them to her, but I would give them to her. I made the other three on the other six days, but because of the one, I would not take money. It was a small burden, but a burden none the less.

Hi there Steve. I have been feeling conviction for the very things you’ve said in this series on the Shabbat. Are there activities that are good for children that honor Yahuah? Adults have much less issue reading the Word all day long which I would do if it were just me. My daughter is 6 1/2 and I’m just not sure what to do. I’ve taken her to birthday parties on Shabbat then felt terrible about it afterward. Guess that’s Yah trying to tell me something. If the subject is Him and His Word can we color? Do projects? Watch a movie? What are your thought on this?

Is there a teaching proving Shabbat is evening to evening? Because I Recommended this series to a friend assuming this series would cover it other than the one Scripture, Nehemiah 13:19 which I texted her: Thank you!

Messianic Torah Observant Israel Thank you so much! My friend is really struggling with this as she has been misled to believe Shabbat is Sunrise to Sunset. Which IMO is stealing 12 hours from Yahuah. As well as breaking His 4th Commandment. I’ll be sure to pass the study onto her, Shalum, Renee

Wasn't the reason for them being upset with the disciples eating without first washing, his hands. A traditional cleansing of the hands? Laws of man.

The problem here was taking the traditions of man and elevating them above or equal to Torah. Never does He tell them that their tradition is wrong.

Yes. If YESHUA Ha'Maschiac had proposed eating an unclean animal that had never been considered food by The Chosen. Hannah and her seven sons watched each brother be dismembered for refusing to eat pork, refusing to pray to pagan gods, keeping Sabbath Holy. The "Old Testament" is 77% of the Holy Scriptures and is vitally important to read in order to follow "The Way", which YESHUA gave us the purest example of.
