Question. Why in the world would they install the new cover overtop the old cracked, beat up one? Bad idea. All u need is some padding. That's all that's under mine. I had a small 3 inch crack on mine. I pulled old dash cover,clips, and cleaned all grime n dirt. Then gave inside windshield best clean ever. Then I applied factory padding onto back of the new dash cover. Applied adhesive and done. No reason to leave that old broken thing on. Only negative issues can occur
humm, so somebody has finally made a decent option for repairing (covering) the dreaded "potato chip" dash panel extension?!? ...im curious... so quick question, can u apply a MATT finish paint to it? ...anybody whos driven these cars know what a huge issue the glare off this thang onto the windshield is... thanx guys, gonna go check out yalls website
I would say our black is more of a matte than a glossy finish. However if you get our vent cover, dash cover, instrument panel cover, or now even they door inserts - you can go to your local hardware store and get a paint you like and paint these. @@coverlaymfg does that mean I need to replace the old panels with these? or these will only fit on top of the current panels even if they are cracked?
No because putting adhesive in the middle area actually prevents the dash and cover form being able to expand and contract with the temperature fluctuations.

YES. In fact, remove factory foam from the back of old cover. Adhere to new cover then apply bead of adhesive as shown. I'm a body, frame, uto detailer. I would NEVER leave that broken and shattered thing on. Good luck
