Microsoft just came out with the Surface Adaptive Kit "features several sets of adhesive bump labels to provide better touch sensing for key caps, including translucent labels that don't obscure the keys, port indicator labels, and opener support for those with motor disabilities." Yeah, well, I look after my brother who is a tetraplegic, and we have no access to ACC because his condition is attributed to scar tissue on the spinal colomn from a brain tumor removal. We live in a leased house and on the piss all that winz gives us. He has had no more assitance from anyone but me since leaving hospital and couldn't even access physio, without paying for it himself because he doesn't come under ACC. The worst of all is somebody decided to try and burgal us the other day because we obviously look like we are independantly wealth or something, even though I wear my dead father's cloths and rive my dead father's car because we couldn't afford anything else. Sorry I'm just pissed and frustrated by idiots who think this kind of life is easy. I actually worked it out and aI make less than $2 an hour to look after my brother 24 hours a day 7 days a week, no holidays, no future prospects except abject poverty.
I’m really sorry to read this. The disparities between ACC and MoH are tremendous and it breaks my heart to know we have kiwis living like you guys. It definitely doesn’t go unnoticed by us on ACC
