They called plays differently and never tried to go down the field. As soon as it was one possession game, they threw it for 30+ and iced it. They played alphaGo style: maximize the win probability, not the score differential

When your coordinator removes half the plays and expects the same level of success how can you blame the players? What if the chiefs only called 8 passing plays? @@AnDr3w066 I didn't move the goalpost you ignored my comment. Let me be very specific. The ravens averaged 25-30 running back carries per game all season long. In the afc game they had 8. We all know the run game can open the pass game and vice versa. That difference in carries is not explainable by not having posession. That's not explainable by anything other than who ever called the plays, threw the identity of the team out of the window. If it was lamar then it's his fault, but ultimately the head coach and offensive coordinator need to put their foot down if it was just lamar making these decisions. All year long they ran the ball down people's throats, then they get to the afc game vs one of the worst run defenses in the league and basically stop running. It's also a trend from the staff to throw more when they are behind, it's been present all year. I don't expect you watch the games of the players you hate. But don't just blindly accept what sports media spews out as gospel. We've seen the bias for and against every player.

I’m a die hard cowboys fan and Nick Wright is my favorite host on my favorite show to watch… and takes like this are why…. When Nick explained that Jerry isn’t looking at the situation like he has a year or two left (which is exactly how I’ve been looking at it) the fact is Jerry is still making plans for 10-15 years down the road… from this perspective I’m a lot happier with our offseason as a fan

2023 Dallas Cowboys Early down run game efficiency = 31st Average ESPN open score for WR/TE = 26th OL Pass Block Win Rate = 16th But weirdly enough, #1 in PPG for the 3rd year in a row in games Dak starts. 2nd team all pro and were asking if his team should keep him. Hilarious stuff. The idea the cowboys offense has been some juggernaut roster is insane

The year before that I saw Trevon drop 2 interceptions that landed on his hands, Zeke was washed, Pollard broke his leg and Kellen Moore called the dumbest play ever putting Zeke at center.

Buffalo game Ravens game 9ers games. Each game the Chiefs won in 2023. Each game had one FREAK event that went the Chiefs way. That Version of the Chiefs was winning in 3 of 12 quarters played. 9 ers beat the chiefs on both sides of the ball in three out of four quarters. I'm a Chiefs fan. That Ravens takeaway was so spectacular by Snead no player earned & deserved Kelce like money than Snead- and the way his trade went could not have been more embarrassing for the KC! Snead deserves all the props played far better than Mahomes and Kelce combined!

I honestly think a lot of these QBs are just running into the better QB (mahomes) and that’s why they can’t win it. But to say you have less faith in a young 20s 2x MVP who lost at the AFC CHAMPIONSHIP is crazy. To me mahomes will go down as the GOAT, and I don’t know how many times someone else will win a ring over him. But if anyone can, Lamar has the talent to do so

The only thing I say to the whole talk of “winning a Super Bowl while making top dollar” is Mahomes just set the record for most money made by a quarterback in a season win a Super Bowl at 37 million. No team has won a super bowl with the QB making top dollar so this talking point to me is stupid. Once QBs make that top dollar amount rosters just can’t get put together to win and that’s basically a proven fact at this point. Brady took less for his team to win, the chiefs have capitalized on years where Mahomes is making less than 40 million as the cap hit

Lamar has been consistently worse than Dak in the playoffs yet gets every pass in the book. Only difference is that the Ravens D is actually good and held the Chiefs to 17 points, and the Cowboys D literally gave up the highest EPA/play in any playoff game this century

You also highlighted one out of Dak's 7 playoff games, and chose the one where the D literally gave up the highest epa/play in any playoff game this century. If the defense plays with any competency they might have given Dak a chance to overcome a slower start, but they let the Packers score every time the touched the ball in the first half. Cowboys points in the first half of their game: 7, Ravens points in first half of their game: 7

I like the odds 2 from the cowboys speaking from a cowboys fan the odds of them not even getting to the super bowl their ceiling for years wildcard exit, second round exit, not even sniffing in NFC championship game for a number of years I've lost count you need to restructure that and saying cowboys like the odds of hoping to advance to the super bowl
