Short story, yes. Long story, no cuz the lions still had two more opportunities to either make the two points conversion or kick the extra point. If the roles were reversed everyone would say that the cowboys should have just kicked the extra point. No sympathy from me

Well, if they had called the tripping call on the lions instead of us like it should have been the game would have already been over. Plus it was an illegal formation even if they had called the correct lineman illegible so no they didn't screw the lions.

No because first off the the tripping flag, if the refs got that call right we woulda got a first down and game is over at that point, 2 off the ref announced 70 eligable without mentioning 68 and the lions did nothing dan campbell litterly admitted he was trying to cause confusion.

The defense didn’t cover because he was ineligible receiver u can’t tell me the play might of been different if defense knew he was a eligible receiver. Looked like Detroit tried getting cute (sending 3-Lineman to umpire) and screwed themselves, then after penalty still trying to go for it out of anger instead of going to OT. After penalty u have better odds with lottery than scoring 2 point conversion with penalty.

@@bw2920 all of that was wrong. You don't know football. All of it was legal. And 70 was nowhere near the ref when 68 told him he was planning to be eligible. And 70 could not be eligible since he was not on the end of the line so it doesnt make sense. Campbell also told the ref pregame they would attempt this. So lies. Any more?

The Cowboys FINALLY inducted Jimmy Johnson into the Ring of Honor. There was no way we were going to lose this game after that. Furthermore the Cardinals beat the Eagles (I can't wait until the NFC East Meeting for this week) and that means all the Cowboys have to do is beat Washington again and we win the division, get the #2 seed, and get home field advantage in the first two rounds. The only question is, can we beat the 49ers in the NFC Championship?

@@99Fishing_actually the refs screwd Dallas on their final possession by incorrectly calling tripping on Peyton Hendershot when in actuality it was Aidan Hutchison who threw his leg out to trip Tony Pollard. Instead of 1st and 10 at the 11 with a running clock it became 1st and 25 at the 44 with a stopped clock saving the Lions one of their 2 remaining timeouts, and completely changed how the cowboys could call plays. At best if called correctly the Lions would've gotten the ball back with virtually no time on the clock and no time outs. The game only got to where it ended up because of a completely blown personal foul call against Dallas. If you actually watched the game you'd know this.

I know everybody wants to focus on that call that took away the 2 thereby tainting the Cowboys' victory. Just remember after the penalty Campbell could have just kicked the extra point and sent the game into overtime. Instead he had to prove how big his balls were by trying to go for 2 two more times. I honestly blame Campbell more for the Lions losing than the refs even if it's not a popular opinion.

Refs definitely screwed up but in an alternate universe where the ref got it right there is a possibility that the cowboys would’ve covered #68 since they announced him as eligible.
