I thought that was the Peasall sisters, but I was not sure. Great song by the way. The Cox family's bluegrass rendition of this great gospel tune is out of this world. Thanks Bruinbeer99
I love the banjo on this gospel song and Suzanne has a wonderful voice. I hope she is happy as she sings such a beautiful song. Great gospel sound. Thanks for posting.
For anybody who likes this music, the dvd is superb. Its called Down from the Mountain. It is one of the best music DVD's ever from any genre. I could not recommend it more.
As much bluegrass as I have been around and as many festivals as I have been at (both as spectator and musician) I have yet to see the Cox Family....Now I know I have missed one of the best bands I have ever heard... Fantastic harmony! I gotta see them now!
I love love the lead singer's voice. We got this CD when i was young and I listened to it for the first time today in a long time. It brought back a lot of memories.

WOW! That was a great song! FANTASTIC! I need to feature them on my radio program sometime in the future. They bring a fresh sound to Bluegrass Gospel Music. bruinebeer99 thanks for sharing this video.
looks like very good people, I would like to meet them. Don't think they could sing a bad song. But please stay away from Alison Crauss she done messed up bluegrass. God Bless
The closest it gets to theology is that those in Christ Jesus do get crowns, and He is coming soon and His reward is with Him(implying merit, since salvation is a gift not a reward, it must be something else) You'll find a lot of stuff like this in folklore, so it pays to be a Berean, though conversely folklore is awash in real data about spiritual warfare/demons that was not expressly included in the Scripture which can be useful in helping others understand what is wrong, so they call on Jesus
its not anywhere in the bible. its more of a "christian folklore" if there is such a thing. i used to hear old timers in the evangelical arena talk about it.
