For those that don’t know, the - number over 16 gives you your hose size. -8 is 8/16 or 1/2” hose. -10 would be 10/16 or 5/8” hose, etc.

Good video!!! Very informative. And for sure more than a half a tank when racing.

Great info. I switched as you recommended to two constant and one on a Hobbs. Makes me feel safer knowing I’m at 1,000hp

My fuel pumps were catching air anywere below a half a tank of fuel. It was random. Sometimes it would be fine and sometimes it would go lean. I added the bucket back since it’s mostly street at

I’m installing fore myself, but struggle to see the value over other kits. Lines / fittings not premade, same pumps are used, and no bucket and have yet to be explained why fore doesn’t use one. I took your advice and will follow what Lund recommends, but for street cars that have to drive say 20-30 miles to the spot and can’t race under half a tank it becomes difficult.

This reply is going to come out of left field, it's only those are doing say a long drive / road trip on a massive fuel system like Alex has. I have the Fore setup he has, two pumps, 1050id injectors, fuel rails and lines that are as thick as a garden hose. I also run on E85 only. I recently did a 4.5 hour trip on this fuel system in South Florida heat (July) and the fuel gauge inside was not accurate when it got hot (2020 GT). Alex mentioned how the fuel is constantly circulating in these huge lines and can heat up. I ran the car out of fuel with the gauge showing half a tank. I realized I was driving for almost 2 hours, I should have filled up based on just time but I'm a moron. Heat soaked fuel system is a real thing.

Fantastic video and one I was hoping to see! Do you think triple 274s would be better to "future proof" a system vs twin 285s? Are there any big pros and cons on one vs the other? My car will live in the 1000hp range on E85 but could see 1200hp and I would rather have some head room than be pushing two pumps to their limits. Also, I would love to see some more data or discussions about routing! I've been going back and forth between deadhead and true return. Your explanations are super helpful to help me visualize.

@@YDBT4LIFE That's what I was leaning towards. Now just to decide on full return or dead head. Thanks for the reply big dog.

I’m going from twins to big single on my C5Z, I’m going to give your fuel system theory a shot. I’ve always done the true return style, but I’m going to give it a shot. Car will make around 1000whp

@YDBT4LIFE 10 месяцев назад
Dead head is fine at 1000 as long as you have bigger rails and adequate fuel pump.

I am in the process of cleaning up my fuel line. My current system is 8an feed 6an return. 2x285, through a filter to a Y-block, to the fuel rails, back to the regulator, return to the tank. The way I see it is the rails are pressurized and should be good to go. Am I wrong or correct? Thank you for the awesome content.

their is no need to change that setup unless you just want to waste money

Wouldnt it be an easy test to see the potential fuel pressure drop on a dead head system by putting a pressure sensor/gauge at the end of the dead head? It would either debunk or confirm concerns. Personally, I don't think it's an issue either way of running a return style system. I'm pretty sure there's enough hose to mitigate any temp spikes as it's returning to the tank. But that would also be a good test to confirm/disprove heat soak in fuel by placing a temp sensor on the return hose right before it goes in the tank.

I know this maybe stupid question but wouldnt i run my boost refrence on tvs2,3coyote from lower manifold to fpr or T In bypass vacuum to fuel pressure regulator ? is it constant vacuum or vacuum to positive pressure for refrence? frpregulator after rails . [likehtis]pump-fuelrail\injector-frpr-back to tank

Hey Alejandro, do you recommend a SPE quad fuel hat with 450 pumps? TT10r80 5.2 Built, have a friend selling one for cheap wanna know if its worth it. Thanks

In turbine engines, warm fuel atomizes better and burns more complete. We actually run our fuel through a liquid to liquid cooler in order to warm the fuel and cool the oil. Why would this theory not be the same in cars?

A steady loss of fuel when I key on would that indicate a bad regulator
@musclecity06
@musclecity06 10 месяцев назад
running 2 pumps full time when its not needed will heat the fuel up more then running a true return setup. IMO
@YDBT4LIFE

It won't and doesn't. Did it for years. 0 issues. As dead head still returns to the tank via the regulator return line

Always always race with more than half tank. Luckily either the Lund tune or the factory driver saved my car when I cut a 1.68 on less than 1/4 tank. Still ran a 12 tho (previous pass was a 10.9). Learned my lesson. Also 6 months later I replaced my fuel pump due to failure.

Speaking of gt500s...my wife told me today I could just buy myself a gt500 and give her my gt(she's in the market for a new vehicle anyway) I was considering it until we walked out of the store and I saw my car sitting there...I just can't do it!

Gt500s are so much different than coyotes if you just look at peak hp you don't understand just how different they are even the 5.4 or 5.8 any of them are torque monsters (ecsp compared to a coyote) and they sound so much different. They're alot more old school muscle car in feel and sound. The Trans is far better and they make badass torque even if you has a tvs coyote it won't make near the torque a tvs gt500 will (5.4/5.8 ones). My 07 did 740/733 with a gen3r, twin 69 tbody, jlt 123, long tubes full exhaust etc on 93 and boostane. I could see 800 on e85 but what is impressive isn't the power it's the torque. A coyote in a similar power level even with a tvs won't see near that torque you'd be lucky to go over 600 at that power level. It's just a totally different experience even if the coyote has the same blower the gt500 is running they just won't see the same torque than either 5.4 or 5.8.

Sorry guys but it's not really about that to me. I care more about looks and, although I think the gt500 is a sexy ass car, I just like the look of a gt better.

@marcog6470 I've made a pact with myself to NEVER ride in a car faster than my own. Too stressful and expensive. 😂
