Love the console. 😎 Wish I knew how you went about making it though, assuming you did.. I'd really like to convert to a similar setup, 2 bucket seats w/center console.
Yeah, i built that before I started doing videos on the truck. I just mocked up something with cardboard first, then built it out of MDF Wood. I glued a stretchable fabric to it and then built the top panel out of aluminum, wrapped it with vinyl. The little door/cup holder is from a Jetta. You could make it out of just about anything and cover it. The hardest thing about that setup was mounting the seats low enough so I had headroom.
Not sure why it won't let me reply to your Electric Fan comment on the other video, but I had a cheap fan from summit racing that came from a different vehicle. I don't think they sell it anymore. If it doesn't work, I am switching to this one, www.summitracing.com/parts/flx-105390 That one might work for you. Spal & DeltaPag make thin ones too, but they can be pricey.
@@scmotorsports ah, I see.. I kinda figured you made it. Helluva a job on it! Thanks for the reply and inspiration.. I've got a couple rolls of ram board, so I better get on it. I've done a couple headliners, which came out great, so no reason why I couldn't upholster a custom center console too. 🍻
@@scmotorsports oh that's probably because I deleted it since I kind of answered my own question.. I went back through your 2nd video on cooling, where you mentioned it was a Black Magic fan.. Somehow I missed that detail the 1st time around. 😅 Thanks for the recommendations, I'll definitely check those out! 🍻
@@R3TR0R4V3 Well, I started with that Black Magic fan in that video because i thought it would work, but had to switch to a cheaper/thinner fan I had because the Black Magic fan would have rubbed on the top Radiator hose. It cleared the P/S Pump, but not enough room for the Radiator hose.
Hey bro, with the body harness, do you know if it is possible to just use the shifter and the gauge cluster or do you have to run door locks and backup cams etc?
I did not get a Body Harness from a donor car, I bought the Ford Performance Coyote 6R80 F150 Control Pack from Power by the Hour. It does not have the locks, cameras, gauge cluster, etc. It will not need that to run. I was actually surprised it had the shifter wiring. It's slimmed down to just what it needs. Mostly 12v, Ignition, grounds for the ECM and few others. For my gauge cluster, I am running stock 89 ranger oil, temp sensors on engine and to run the speedo I'm using Dakota Digital electrical signal to mechanical cable speedo box.
@@scmotorsports Ahh, Roger that. Thank you for the information. I have an ‘83 that I planned to do a Coyote swap with but have since went the GM route. I’m going to try to run Camaro gauges but need to do some research. I’m positive there’s a way! Anyway, looking forward to seeing your build complete.
