Hello friends! In todays video I spend a cozy day at home making a chunky blanket (which I'll show you how to do as well) and which also make great diy christmas gifts! I make homemade hot chocolate that turns out AMAZING, watch a lot of Downton Abbey, enjoy meloncholy November weather and finish off the day with a lot of reading. I like rain when I don't have school on. Otherwise, it's an inconvenience. But when there's no school, I can just sit in bed and watch the rain drip on my window 😊

I like it, as long as i don't have to go outdoor. I'm a equistrian and live in a farm area so being outdoor isn't just a walk with my dog but it's doing tasks that get harder in the rain. So yeah i love the idea of having a walk on a moist/rainy day to come home and drink something warm with a book but on days with outdoor tasks i prefer a sunny autumn/winter day

Clicked on this SO FAST when I opened RU-vid. I got my booster shot yesterday and I’m not feeling the best so today was going to be a slow day anyway- what a treat to find you uploaded, and something that I can try out today too. Thanks Desi! PS- I totally understand the desire to make the perfect first experience with a book that you think you’ll love; it makes me put off many books until I think that I can properly enjoy them.

Always such great content Desi! I’ve been trying to slow down my pace of life recently since I’ve always had tiredness/lack of energy issues which are relating to health issues but I’ve always tried to keep up with society and looking busy but I think your content and others have made me realise that I think slow living is the better way to go for me. I also loved that blanket you made! I adore cosy things so I definitely want to give that project a try. Also seeing you light all those candles made me want to light my new candle finally 😅

I think this vlog is one of my favorites. So peaceful and cozy. Your videos are my escape from the world and you have inspired me to get back to books and reading again. All the happiest times of my life have been when I've lived in places where I could walk out my door and find a beautiful and peaceful place to sit and enjoy natural sounds, smells, and sights. Desi's videos always remind me how much of a toll it takes on me to live in a dangerous urban environment. It's just not possible in West Oakland, and it makes a person feel so cut off and trapped. I have to drive pretty far for a peaceful outdoor read or walk (somewhere I'm not in danger of being assaulted/robbed/killed. Gotta get out of here. :'( This video is perfect motivation to move :)
