I never comment on videos, however I think that you and your husband working on projects together is a wonderful way to accomplish tasks and sets a great example of kindness and support for each other! We've renovated over seven homes, and we always work together. It was something that we did not only as a couple, but also with our children. Now that our children are grown, they have skills to help and bless others as well. Great job, on decorating and renovating your home!

In East Tennessee we call this “dogwood winter”. We’ve had to cover our plants for about a week. It’ll happen again in May and that will be called “blackberry winter”.❄️

Thought your porch turned out beautifully, but you made me laugh when you kept turning round remarking about the huge snowflakes pouring down. Not only that, but the more springy you got on your porch, the more wintery the weather became around you, I felt so sorry for you, but at the same time was laughing my head off, thought things like that only happened to me, but guess I'm not alone. Those white lilacs you got were really gorgeous, I haven't seen those over here, but you can bet I'm gonna have another look for them. I have used cut up pool noodles in bottom of containers to secure florals.

Here in NC in one week we had highs in the 50’s, 60’s, 70’s and 80’s with lows in the 30’s, 40’s and 50’s. We always say NC is the State with all 4 seasons in one week. That’s our Spring here then we just jump full force into high humidity summers and summer lasts until November 😂 Home Depot is the best for Ferns. Lowe’s wants $26 each for theirs 🥴 You scored some beautiful florals ❤

Did you paint the brick on your home or was it white when you bought it? I have heard so many mixed thoughts about painting brick and the quality of it, but its so beautiful ❤

I sympathize with you and the "come on Spring!" situation. Being born and raised in the Bronx, we made the big move to northern Georgia and it was the BEST decision we ever made. We started our spring at the end of Feb with our daffodils blooming. Great 4 seasons..not extreme. Come on down!!

Wisconsin has snow too. "I" would add some long ribbon tails down your baskets to fill the void of the glass door. Double face satin in a moss green. Wish I had a Michael's near by. All I have is Walmart and Joanne's. Looks lovely.

You could put a dark throw on the back of the chairs for pop of color.

I like what you did here. I have a few suggestions to elevate your look. (1), I would add some pussy willow or twiggy stems to your door baskets for more textural interest. Perhaps even a bow on a bamboo skewer. (2) Use the wreath you hung up to fill the top of the basket (if it fits), more texture and green/hides the pillow. (3) I preferred the oval grapevine wreath, yes it's another hole in the brick, but it's contrast and texture. (4) Move the tree urns to the other side of the chairs. (5)) The temps aren't there yet for spray painting but Rustoleum's Nutmeg would look great on your chairs. I have used it on few different wicker pieces and absolutely love it for a neutral. It would work with your pillows as well. I live in the Albany, NY area and still have Winter decor on my porch. I am at least two weeks behind from last year.

The lilacs in the baskets look great and so do the chairs and pillows , but I don’t think those evergreens in the urns go with everything

Love the baskets on the doors... I actually bought the same one as a hostess gift for Easter brunch and filled it with fresh tulips sinc e it has a plastic liner. I love the wicker chairs. But since your porch is all white... I would spray paint them a moss or hunter green so they would pop. Your porch is absolutely gorgeous with that arched brick and those double doors. I would love to have a space like that to decorate for the seasons. My brain is going crazy with ideas!!!!

If you can find a soft patterned pillow to add to the chairs, it would cozy things up and not make it so model home.. With the lanterns, I bet it would really invite people to sit down. or maybe just the two of you sipping coffee in the morning.

Oh my goodness, I love RU-vid because you learn so much about how other people live. It is snowing in April where you are. I live in Texas near Houston, and every day, my daughter and I pray for God to hold off the heat so that we can have a normal spring like other people 😁 Yesterday day, it was 86° Yikes! Eighty-six is not to bad, but the problem is when it hits 90° it just gets hotter and hotter. I love the baskets on the doors. The porch looks beautiful, and your sunny day is coming. Very pretty! Who cares what neighbors think - if you like spring out now with snow - do it! Hey a large "Shale" colored gingham fabric for those porch pillows would be pretty with a soft green ribbon might look pretty. Robert Kauffman has a large-sized greenish gingham.

4/6 and we finally have blue skies and sunshine in the Grand Rapids area of Michigan. I went to Michaels a few days ago and the flowers and colors just took my breath away. They’re doing a great job this year of bringing in Spring. I love your baskets and lilacs! And thank you for including Wayne.

I would have painted the chair for a fresher look. The basket and fern arrangement is a bit much in such a small space; my opinion. Nice concept.

Love the basket idea in lieu of a wreath. Jealous you have snow. I’m in central North Carolina and we didn’t get any this winter and now in spring mode with all of the pollen😩Put some fake snakes in your wreaths or baskets and it will keep the birds out. I usually find them at $ Tree or $ General.

We live on 80 acres in WI. We had near blizzard conditions on Tues. But today is really warm & sunny. I have a 90 yr. old farmhouse and I have double French doors on the front of my house and a old fashion porch w/spindles ,posts & gingerbread-like trim. The porch is painted red, white & blue. A lot of work but so pretty. In our area NO one comes to the front door, even the mailman or truck deliveries, always the back.. But I love the basket idea in front, very cute. We have a pole barn and have a ton of lawn/garden items that I'm anxious to get out. Most old farm items I use as planters. This yr. I will plant seeds in hopes of, lowering my nursery expenses, as I spend a lot on flowers. I have 8 flower garden, all in a different theme. Can't wait to see your progress.

Porch looks very Spring like especially with the "Snow". You wanted to know what we have in Pennsylvania. My husband was doing a chore at home so a friend and I went out to out sons house to drop off some Easter candy that we had made. He and his family live in Blandon, well we have had so much rain that the fields look like ponds. But on the way home the rain turned to Sleet such fun. Our weather has been wacky .
