Just passed my CPC certification with a high score and I must say this video and the other ones on process of elimination really made a difference for me. I was done 1 hour ahead of time and felt very confident during the exam, dissecting each set of answers with logic before even reading the body of the op report. The guided AAPC course that cost crazy money doesn't stand close to Hoang's videos, to be honest... so I thank you and really appreciate the effort 🙏 Hope you team up with AAPC to update their ridiculously boring and useless course...
I'm so glad I stumbled upon your videos last weekend prior to taking my CPC exam. Your method for eliminating answers helped me have extra time to double check answers in the sections I wasn't too sure about. I ended up passing the exam & even got 100% on the case studies section! Thanks for all the great work you have been doing, without gainsaying you have help me through with 90% coding challenges that was why i passed my exam last year December, sir in this video, case #3 there is no character like E as routing healing in my code book but D as routing healing.
E = routine healing for OPEN fracture and D = routine healing for CLOSE fracture. You should double check the 7th character under category S82 again. I hope it helps.

Hello Mr Hoang, I have learned so much from your videos, thank you! In Case Study number 3, the correct code for C would be T81.42XA, B96.20 and S82.202D, there is not E in the CPT book of 2022.
Not sure if you have been given guidance on this but if you go to the main category code (S82) there are guidelines. For this specific code there is a more complete 7th character table that we are instructed to use for the subcategory S82- codes and there you will find the description of the E code. S82.202E would be correct, I hope this helps.

You should first start watching two videos: ICD10 for kindergarten lesson 1 and lesson 2. When you know how to look up a code in your book then you should all my videos except those are related to the root operation. They are for inpatient coder you are not there yet.
14:25 I'm probably missing it: Choices B and C look identical. Are they, or am I missing something? But, if (if) that's indeed the case, that also makes it easy to narrow down to Choice D. Great videos, by the way!

Thank you for sharing your tips and tricks, I'm getting ready for the CANPC, and have the preparation book and some of the op-report examples in the book are super long but include time units and Anesthesia modifiers would you have other tips that can help me with the elimination process for this type of test. I don't see much diagnosis coding in the practice test in the book, so I'm thinking the real test will be very similar to what I see in the prep book. thank you again

If this is the case then you are very lucky because all you have to to is to look them all up and find out what the difference between them then read the op report to see what code is the correct answer. You are done. You don't have to go to the second set of codes. I hope it helps.
