At 40 minutes of your video we also calculate the bigger circle and then subtract is from 360 degree which will also give the same answer. by the you are amazing and i like your videos.
I have GSP Navigation, but they just don't explain the basic concepts as well as you have thus leading to confusion as to why the answer is so. Especially in calculating ch long, you have explained the concept extremely well with the use of the diagram. This lesson has cleared all my confusion and doubts in how to calculate ch long and ch lat. Thank You!!

@blueskiesandtailwinds6004 Could you please post a video or explain the difference in calculating the great circle distance and the great circle tracks (even though a single degree to fly is not there), and then creating a rhumb line track? As well as when to use the great circle and when to use rhumb line tracks please?
@@blueskiesandtailwinds6004 Yes please, specifically with a focus on overall flight planning, e.g. when to use a great circle track, when to use rhumb lines track, and the ways of calculating the distances between points when using Great Circle Track or Rhumb Lines (including the formula). 1) 27°13'S 26°56'E (50'N to 3'N ie downwards therefore 'S' & 25'W to 21'W ie towards right therefore 'E') 2) 37°18'S 5°26'W (42'N to 24'N ie downwards therefore 'S' & 47'E to 21'E ie towards left therefore 'W') 3) 1°4'S 51°36'W (8'S to 12'S ie downwards therefore 'S' & 52'W to 32'E but after subtracting it from 180° it adds up and moves towards West as shortest distance ie towards 'W')...(tricky so not sure about 3rd)*** 4) 61° 17'N 63°13'W ( 45'S to 32'N ie moving upwards therefore 'N' & 34' to 21'E ie moving towards left therefore 'W'
Look at these as basic addition and subtraction of angles. To find the red angle, you need to subtract the yellow angle from 180 deg and similarly to find the green angle, you need to subtract the magenta angle. (In the 3rd example)
