hello friend here discuss how to repair Hp desktop cpu fan spin for a second then turn off immediately problem. first of all this problem happen for motherboards shorting.its can be for moisture. also for any component shorting problem. so at first clean full motherboard with thinner or sprite . then try to find out faulty component. remove 4 pin atx connector. after removing press power botton. if cpu fan is spinning continuously faulty from vrm section. check vrm section or if fan spin and then off then check full motherboard.

Open CMOS battery from your motherboard and uninstall the ram and clean the ram with a eraser and clean the CMOS battery with the help of clean cloth and install the ram without CMOS battery it will run properly

If your mother board is shot i would advice to just replace it because it will be damaged again and again , it will be just a loss of money

Sir, my motherboard not responding but my fan is working and mouse is lighting but the keyboard is not lighting... what should be the fault? i dont know how to check if the MOSFET is Dead.
