Our first time crabbing at Fair Haven Dock. Beautiful place but not a lot of crabs yet. We arrived late around 10:30 am and only caught 1 keeper. Met a couple of wonderful folks, had Taylor ham sandwich (Pork roll) for brunch and enjoyed the gloomy weather. We decided to go to our favorite place for plan B. We want our crab dinner! Back at Brick, we ended up catching a total of 30 keepers. Got home late but the kids are loving what we brought home for them🦀. Enjoy the video!🥰

😊 The second one we went to was Windward beach park in Brick. That’s the smaller pier at the other end of the beach.

The second place we went to was at Windward Beach Park (Brick, NJ). There is no fee to use both long and small piers. There is also no parking fee. They also have a farmers market every Saturday and a nice beach for sunbathing. Just bring a couple of traps, your chairs, some drinks and make nice memories with your grandson🥰. We were at the Mantoloking and ut was slow 😢 we just got 10 keepers but threw back about a dozen smallies and preggy ones. I thought of going to Brick but my dad’s tamad 😅 sayang we could’ve met you there!!!!

@@HBH24 No, recreational crabbing in NJ does not require a license. You’re allowed a limit of 1 bushel per day and crabs must be 4.5 inches in size ( from spine ). You also cannot keep pregnant females.
