@@donnapeters8426 The river around this time is really good for fishing and crabbing. When winter comes, we feel just like you😊, we miss it too! Have a wonderful weekend🥰!
@@bradpower9057 It kind of looks like some marina . Maybe downs or God luck point or the like. We had Whitey's marina at the end of our street, it's definitely not there.
must be nice to go out and enjoy the outdoors and crab let alone together. I wouldn't know. It is like pulling teeth to enjoy an early morning sunrise around here. I will enjoy life from your memories. Thank you
@@PCHelpNews 🥰Thanks for the kind words! It is nice to have someone who enjoys the same thing you do. Even if we end up with no catch, the scenery, the people we meet, even the drive makes up for a good day. May you have more great memories as well😊!
Some nice big ones! One of my favorite childhood memories is crabbing in the estuaries of South Florida. A drumstick on some mono always did the trick. The Blue crabs down there grow BIG!
@@dariosotherradio Thank you! Our personal best has been only 6.8 inches. The Blue Crab record for the state of New Jersey is 8.75 inches. Maybe someday we could try crabbing in Florida too😊 and probably beat our record. Have a great weekend!
@@thandastones888 I was surprised to see you guys crabbing in that nasty weather. I’m gonna give it a shot tomorrow. Caught 20 last week with my son, granddaughter and her best friend. The kids did most of the work. They gave this old man a break.
@@JohnKorek Ha! Ha! That’s how you do it! You just supervise😊. 20 crabs 🦀, that’s pretty good for Lavalette. Toms river should be really good next week. The water has been pretty warm. We actually love it when it’s raining. Reminds us of our days back in the Philippines😊.
@@matsui316 Thank you! We usually buy them at local bait and tackle stores. It’s about $10 a piece. You can also buy them on line or at Dick’s sporting goods. We suggest the ones made of wire. They’re stronger against underwater currents and snags. Good luck🦀 and thanks for watching 🥰!
@@bradpower9057 This is along the Pine Beach side. That’s the mouth of Toms river. This used to be Santo Marina. A developer bought it about a decade ago and we were told by one of the locals that it’s private property while we were leaving.
@@ryukin_n Thank you! This is the Old Santo Marina in Bayville. A developer bought it, so this is private property. Good time to crab would be at dawn or dusk, especially with incoming tide ( high tide ).
@@gregbell5975We grew up preparing them like this. Steamed whole. If we like to add them in soup or broth, then we remove the shell and clean them🦀. Thanks for watching 😊!
@@jamessmith1948 Thank you! This is the old Santo Marina in Bayville. A developer has bought it about a decade or so ago. We were told it’s private property by one of the locals while on our way home. Have a nice weekend!
@@SDEBOP- This was an old marina called Santo Marina. A developer has bought the place about a decade ago. Unfortunately it’s private property. We were informed about it as we were leaving the place.
@@Noreasta508 Ha!ha! Good one! We searched for Susan’s infomercial and you were exactly right!😆. We’ll put our editing crew on extra work to look for more music🥰!
