Old fart here...was looking through my old CD's the other day and saw the ones from Cracker. Instead of going out and buying a CD player (only have one in my car these days :D) I decided to listen to a few of their songs here to remind me of good times!
I've loved this song since day one. It never gets boring to me because the lyrics are absolutey brilliant. The 90's were the absolute best. I wish i was in my 20's again!
Yay just found out these guys are playing locally this weekend. God, I could use this so much right now. Long live the 70’s 80’s and 90’s music. The music today sucks (except you Black Keys).

This band really wasn’t that big for one thing. And this song was not a big hit. I have only ever even heard the first few seconds of it before because it was used in the TV spots for the movie Buffy The Vampire Slayer. The song wasn’t even huge at the time it came out. 😂
I have an automatic level of respect for any band that treats their music video as a joke and calls attention to the fact that they're not actually playing live.

You nailed it. I was going to point out this tune as well. "Under the Bridge" is so far from a Teen Angst song...I'm surprised the Professor Wuss'uped up the Comment. I no he doesn't feel that way at all.

Assuming op was born somewhere around 1993, (and the song being released in 2009) they must’ve been around 15-17 (depending on their birth month) back then, so I guess I could have been off by a year or two..? Doesn’t make a big difference I think, they were still a teen.

I remember going to a pop up show where the played this at a club in San Jose CA in 1992. One of those times when everyone was shocked someone else knew the words to a song only you liked.
