‘Craft and Design Exchange Forum’ is a 2 day event hosted by Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts(IGNCA) at RedFort, New Delhi. The packed agenda includes guest speeches and panel discussions on design thinking, reviving traditional arts and crafts with sustainable markets across the globe and opportunities that are unearthed. Apart from these sessions ‘crafts of India’ gallery curated various crafts and arts to educate visitors on programs sponsored by IGNCA and create awareness on Indian arts and crafts. This event is a perfect blend of learning, socialising your ideas, find new opportunities and expand your horizon.
I was invited as a guest and able to socialise with other artisans and personalities engaged in craft and design. As I am working on a new art form of making miniatures of famous monuments from used pen refills to promote art and sustainability, this event has truly helped me to explore more on design thinking and opportunities in personal capacity.
