This was the best Weird Al interview ever. I think Ferguson has the mentality to keep up with him. Most talk show hosts turn a Weird Al appearance into a snoozefest.
As much as I miss the show, it's better to know he was done and deciding to leave, rather than being forced off the air or into a longer contract he didn't want.
Whoever was involved with the decision making to put Weird Al Yankovic and Craig Ferguson in the same room together, and to record the results no less, deserves every conceivable award for television.
Well I imagine that's the problem. Al would take the show away from most hosts, and I would guess that their egos are too big to let that happen. So no Al
Well you have to have something to promote to make the interview rounds....so when he DOES have something to sell like album or tour then he does go to the latenight shows :)
+Jr Rice Good idea! And if he can't get any quests, just make some fake one where it looks like he's asking them questions, but really the answers are from a different interview. Man, that would be great if that already existed which it definitely doesn't.
I know I post this every time and on every clip, but the speed of Al's "Wurlitzer" reply is proof of how his brain goes as quick as Robin Williams'. They always have (had) replies ready when people are halfway through the questions.
I mean this as a total compliment but this entire interview was pure silliness but these two guys or friends were on the same page "freelancing" and that's what makes it total brilliance to me.
I think I get what you mean. Now that he's no longer under contract he's free to explore the entertainment industry and show off other talents that he may be hiding. The man is very intelligent. If he wants to excel at anything else I have zero doubt he will any trouble figuring out how to do it. 🙂
I mean, once Kurt Cobain loved Weird Al's parody of "Smells Like Teen Spirit" all the artistic snobbery was over...it doesn't get better than Nirvana. Good artist don't feel the need to be so self-serious...Prince really missed out!
Weird Al on Craig is loooooong overdue!! Can't wait for him to come back. Also, google "Weird Al Super Bowl halftime show" and sign a petition for some REAL entertainment next year :)

veritaseros He was actually really cute when he wore a short hair wig for an MTV special, and for The Saga Begins. Shows off chiseled facial features better.
I think his long hair would look best if he always did it like it looked in the beginning of the Foil video... brushed out, and without such a defined center part.
