I did this the other day as a 187bpoumd dude on a 300 poumder because of his weight i wastn able to lift him over my my vud it did enough off balancing to make him fall down and post on his knee wich gave me time to sneak my leg further past him for a tai otoshi whike he on his knee tryna get back on his feet

Love this throw but I’m more taken with O-Guruma which is a slightly different variation where you wheel them towards you and pull them in to the hip as opposed to stepping into them. Very effective from a takedown attempt
@@glowindark64 it's great to do with an overhook and you have to step away from them to make it work... Uchimata and O-Goshi, for example, our hip oriented throws where you are stepping across and pulling them to you.... In O-Guruma, you step AWAY from them while pulling them over you.... This was the key for me in unlocking it because it's great off of a takedown attempt or anything where you're going to want to pull away from your opponent. O-Guruma is very easy to hit off a single or double leg if you can secure an overhook, step away from them, and then do a big backstep to get DEEP behind their legs while also pulling them over your hip and leg. Hope this helps!
There are 3 that I learned here that depend on where your hips are in relation to your uke. O-guruma is the closest to your uke. Ashi guruma is next, and then harai goshi, which is the one he's wrongly teaching.
When he says "this is no good", he's really not correct, you can definitely do an Uchi mata from close in. Posture is still broken at that moment. He's not a stand-up specialist, but still, it is a realistic and solid harai goshi for no gi from a common stance.
