The Cranberry Lake 50 is a roughly 50 mile loop around Cranberry Lake located in upstate New York within Adirondack State Park. I backpacked the loop over 4 days where I encountered snow, wet/flooded/muddy trails and a lot of blowdown. It was in the mid/low 30s most nights and during the day got up to 50/60s.

All I remember was the amount of beaver activity. I enjoyed the challenge and the amount of camping options. I went in the fall and it wasn't as wet as your journey. Like you, I could not wait to get back to the car. Thanks for the video.

Thanks for taking us along on your trip. The CL50 is an absolute beautiful hike. I completed in the fall of '22 but started in the fall of '21. I had to bail half-way in '21 due to a ankle injury. I started in same location as you but went the opposite way. Hiking during the fall is absolutely beautiful.

Congratulations on a tough, but rewarding hike. Spring is a rough time to do this hike. Happy 25th birthday. I see you were rocking a Catskills Hat. I an going back to do the Cranberry Lake 50, for a second time, this fall
