Fully agree and the crappie nibbles have been a game changer. I will check out the eye hole jigs. Great instructional video. Those were beautiful crappies from the world famous Pond Prowler 🥇🎣💥. Awesome at 15:30.

I have never use the Crappie Magnet slab bites, I have always used the Berkley crappie nibbles which have always produced great results. I would like to give the slab bites a try someday and maybe do a challenge and put them up against each other to see if they produce the same results or if one attracts more bites than the other.

That’s a cool idea! I, too, use the Crappie Nibbles a lot. This was my second time trying Slab Bites and I was impressed. They seem to do just as well and are a couple bucks cheaper as a bonus. Either way, it seems both brands are dynamite for panfish. Thank you for watching!

Im a big fan of crappie magnet i used to use bobby garland but the slab magnet is what i use most of the time great video my friend

Thanks so much! I have yet to try out the slab curly or some of the other products, but will eventually. I see a lot of folks using the Bobby Garlands and those are good baits, too. It seems like companies are producing new designs and styles of panfish plastics all the time these days.

As soon as I saw that jig-head I knew you would have to try it out! Got my Trout Magnet Tackle Pack. LOVE IT! Went shore fishing with my "Fanny Pack" slung over my shoulder and my own hand picked assortment of TM and CM packs on the Carabiner included with the Tackle Pack, hooked to a belt loop. ...and two ultra lite rod and reel combos. Way easier to manage than with a tackle box and 4 - 5 combos. (...also returned the Shimano Miravel 1000 and picked up a second Shimano Stradic 1000! Excellent choice for me! Now have those on a Dobyns 6' 2" one piece ultra lite and the Lew's 6" Lite Series Ultra Lite I told you about in the Community Post. So far I'm loving both combos. We'll see after I start catching some more fish, but casting is great with both combos.) Happy New Year!

That’s awesome, Chip! Yes.. these jig heads were too cool and I had to order some. Glad to hear that new gear is working out for you. Traveling light is the way to go, especially bank fishing. That Stradic looks really nice. I’ve watched a few videos on it. I think 5’6 and 6’ are my personal favorite lengths for UL fishing rods.

Great idea! I will sometimes leave a few out in the open for a bit so I don’t have to keep opening the jar. That also hardens them a bit after a while it seems.

Thank you! Yes! Such a cool invention. So far, I have been fishing the Round and Hammer shaped head versions of the Eye Hole jigs. Since I mostly fish for crappie and in shallow-ish water, I like to use the 1/32 and 1/16 sizes. All of the colors are crappie killers, but I am partial to the colors pink, black, and chartreuse for crappie. Can’t go wrong with any of the colors, those are just my personal favorites.

Great information. I assume the smaller hollow eye jigs would also work on bluegill.

I'm curious if you had entertained the idea of filming a video as if you were teaching someone to fish? My wife has finally given in to picking up a pole and coming with me fishing. You have such a gentle, easy presentarion, and with your professionalism and golden voice, I imagine a very basic instructional video would have the appeal of a Bob Ross show. Anyhow, I appreciate what you do, and the level of polish to your show.

Nobody explains how they rig a scent pellet to a lure. Cant find it anywhere.

All you have to do is slide a Slab Bite down over the tip of your hook. It won’t affect the action and will attract additional bites. Hope that helps. Thank you for watching and good luck!

Man brother you killed it on this one, that presentation at the beginning was well put together and presented nicely!
