What lake in tn r u fishing in this video I live in harrogate tn myself n am looking for a good place to catch crappie I’m originally from South Georgia so I don’t know much about the lakes up here I don’t expect u to tell me the exact location but just the general lake if u don’t mind
Chris if you haven’t tried the new Zman WormZ yet it is a bream, shell cracker, and bass killer. I’m fishing it on the Zman 1/30 oz. mushroom jig head slowly on the bottom like a Ned rig.
Another awesome video Chris. Gulp minnows have been deadly for me in the past. Haven't used them in a while but they do slay em that's forsure 🎣 also I like the fun facts you throw in there. Kinda cool man👌🏾
Thanks for demonstrating the Gulp Minnow! I need to get those for my Spring Ultralight Season. The rigging procedure was helpful. Such a beautiful morning to make another quality video production. Such pretty fish you were catching. Looks like a private lake that day 💥⭐️🔥🎣
Thanks so much, Ron! It was a peaceful morning out and I really enjoyed it. You should definitely give these a try. The smaller 1” are great with a Trout Magnet Jig Head for panfish and the larger sizes are also good for bass. Bet you would land some Smallmouth with them up there. Thanks so much for your continued support!🙏🐟
Awesome video! The gulp minnow will catch fish! Awesome fishing to. It's nice to have calm water when fishing. Nice catches too! Thanks for sharing your fishing trip with us! Have a great week chris. 🐟💯👌
I did really well over the winter in a local pond with the gulp minnow! it was the 1st time I've fished it. great info on the scent/smell of a fish. It looked like an absolutely beautiful morning out there for sure Chris. Nice catching and video as always my friend!
Been a while since I fished these, myself. I used them a lot when I was first transitioning away from live bait a few years ago. They definitely work and are fun to use sometimes. Thanks for the continued support, my friend!🙏🐟
Great video! I use the 1 inch Gulp minnows for bluegill on a drop shot. They will hit these when nothing else draws a bite. Be careful, I've also caught a few catfish when using these!
I can't stand the smell of the Gulp juice but these lures flat out work especially when nothing else will get bites!!! Great winter fishing and muddy water bait, that stinky Gulp juice always gets the bite!!!
Ha! The aroma is definitely potent! Great point about using them on a slow day when the bite’s tough. They definitely work. Thanks so much for watching!
Would like to see some more reviews with zman for the panfish! Maybe some micro trd and micro goat! Just placed an order for them can’t wait for the mailbox to get stuffed.
The Z-Man micro lures are great. Check out the channel called The Fishing Nomad. He did several reviews on those baits. Hope you catch a bunch of panfish with them! Thank you for watching!
I'm curious if you had entertained the idea of filming a video as if you were teaching someone to fish? My wife has finally given in to picking up a pole and coming with me fishing. You have such a gentle, easy presentarion, and with your professionalism and golden voice, I imagine a very basic instructional video would have the appeal of a Bob Ross show. Anyhow, I appreciate what you do, and the level of polish to your show.
Thank you so much for watching and the kind words! That’s awesome that your wife is joining you and catching some fish. I would definitely like to try creating more informational content in the future. RU-vid is an excellent resource for all of us to learn from each other. Good luck out there and stay safe!🙏🐟
Do you have to buy a yearly license and pay yearly personal property tax, and have an inspected by the highway patrol, on that plastic boat because you have a trolling motor on it? I was told by the highway patrol you have to do all of that crap in Missouri. In 10 years they collect more in license fees and personal property tax than what the damn boats worth
@@pistolcreek missouri charges the license tag, you have to have it inspected by water patrol plus a fee, and you have to pay yearly personal property tax and have a rceipt for that to renew the license. To use use it about 4 months out of the year a couple times per month.
Iv been figuring them out here in northern WI past 2 years during summer, when most people dont, or know how to fish them suspended. Its my favorite fish to catch and Im absolutely fished out and tired from +150 of them past 2 weeks. And A LOT of big +12" fish. Cheapest locator, same style cheap jig/plastics super glued on. Just figure out what depth they are at and use super slow horizontal movements. I even got my stubborn dad to quit buying minnows and use jig's.
Sounds like you are living the dream, my friend!👍 That’s my idea of fishing. I haven’t bought live bait in 3 years now since I started using Trout Magnets and other lures. So convenient and fun to learn the different techniques, in my opinion. Thank you for watching and keep slaying those crappie up there!🙏🐟
nice way to show the pellets in the water Chris! Interesting fact with the Crappie and Bluegills n Hawaii and Alaska. Rut Row...lol Don't thick that's a Crappie! Those white bass can fight! Could you imagine catching a 5lb 7oz Crappie? 😮 Those blacknose crappie are really cool. A lot of beautiful crappie my friend, great video as alway!!
Those black nose are a cool looking fish, definitely love all the colors on them! Great job on the video brother, I especially liked the demonstration of the bait in the water.
Can you tell me a little bit about your set up. What brand/size of plastic boat, the outboard brand and size and your trolling motor brand ans size? How many batteries one or two for the trolling motor and the electronics. Thanks.
Thank you for your video, it is fun to watch someone fish the way most of us do. I just watched 1:30 of another video that actually had someone scoping for another gamer. “Move it left, back right a little, down a little, up a little and fish on” before he even felt the bite. Keep up the great videos.
Another great video. I just picked up TCB rod working on finding a reel to go on it. Really like the daiwa reels also. Enjoy how you go over your equipment at start of each video. Going to have to check your store out. Keep up the great work.
Awesome video!! I went fishing Saturday I caught 87 fish bass bluegill crappie perch fall fish you should try Berkley Automatic Teaser amazing bait!! That's my top bait catch everything ... Now I have 5 presso rods and Daiwa revos rail 1000 and 2500 I like the 1000xh carry smooth. Thank for recommendation on those rods you should post that video back up
Nice video! You hauled in a few slabs, and I expected some fish sandwiches, but you left me to my own devices for supper...! Good thing I cooked that pot of Pork & Sausage Jambalaya yesterday! Let's do fish next time! :p God bless ALL of us! WWG1WGA
Awesome footage Pistol. I can listen to that drag and watch that rod tip all day man lol👌🏾🎣. Thanks for all the hard work can't wait to put an order in for a bunch of those stickers. Got plans for them that's forsure
Wow brother that is quite the panfishing kits you got there!!! It is definitely all you need to catch Crappie in any condition or waterway! Great looking ultra light setup Chris! Really enjoy the Panfish Puzzlers! "Hooked into a dolphin!" 🐬😂! Those were all some beauties and fun to watch you catch! Those black nose Crappie are always a pleasant surprise! Great Crappie fishing session! Thanks for sharing!
Yes! It sure does. 2lb SOS actually has a break strength of over 3lbs, I believe. The Blue Moon will break very close to its actual rating of 1.7lbs. I learned from Randy Goad over at the channel @troutmagnetman that the Varivas lines all break close to their actual ratings, unlike most American lines. But both of them are fantastic for different applications. Thank you so much for watching and taking the time to comment!🙏🐟
Both blacks and white crappie. Our lakes etc in southeast Michigan had both until the zebra mussels came in about twenty years ago. Now only black crappie haven’t caught a white in years. The mussels cleared up the water a lot, now the bluegill and shellcracker populations and size are better than ever. Black crappies are still there but the whites are gone?
Bluegill, Shellcracker, and Crappie….sign me up, please.😄 Strange about the lack of white crappie, though. Have you thought about emailing your local wildlife agency to ask about that? Here in Tennessee, we have the TWRA. They are great about answering questions on local fisheries and know a lot about what’s going on. Thanks so much for watching!🙏🐟
Yes! Varivas line is so good! I just started trying it this Summer after my friend Randy Goad over at the channel @troutmagnetman put me onto it. I’ve watched him use it for a long time, but only recently tried it myself. Now I love the Blue Moon! Thank you for watching!🙏🐟
No worries, love the information “always important “. I’ll check out your buddy channel too🐟on, also if you never try BFS before ?”you should”.I throw 1.5 BG-1”I-fish “on straight braid with no problems”50 feet +”
Thank you so much!🙏🐟 I really appreciate you watching and the kind words. I always enjoy hearing the water drip from the net…. because it means there is a panfish in it!😄
Love the videos! I'm pur having some Varivas line today. 10 bucks off first order. Thought that was really cool on first order. I'm also purchasing a Daiwa Presso 5 ft 6 inch rod like you use and pairing with Shimano Stradic 1000 my dad has from year 2000 or 2001. He's mailing it to me so I can clean and oil it up. See if I can fix bail on it. Those are expensive nice reels. Hope it will go well with the Daiwa Presso like you use. I'm buying Varivas Ester in clear 1.75 pound test and 2.5 pound test Nylon line they sell. I'll let you know how I do. Thanks. Love your channel!
Oh, man! You are gonna have a killer setup! I’m excited for you just reading about it.😄 If you aren’t already subscribed to his channel, go check out @troutmagnetman here on RU-vid. Randy is the one who showed me Varivas lines and he’s been fishing them for a long time. He’s probably got more actual on the water experience with the ester, nylon, fluoro, and mono lines than anyone out there. Wealth of knowledge on Varivas lines, JDM gear and ultralight fishing in general. Thank you so much for watching and keep us posted on the setup and how it does.🙏🐟
