Lay your line spool flat on the floor and make sure the line is coming off counter clockwise (may be label up or down depending on brand) Stand with your rod tip directly over the center of the spool and keep tension on the line as you reel it on. To test, you can stop and lower your tip to put slack in the line and you should see your line lay limp and not go into a tangle. If you go clock-wise or hold with pencil and give it some slack you will notice the line is twisting up. The KVD line spray is also very helpful, especially during the winter. Remember quite well as a kid fishing with cane poles rigged very similar. Still fish this way from time to time. I taught my children and grandchildren these same styles of fishing. Love watching this video brought back memories. Thank you!🙏🏻

Great tip i do used that i also treat reels and line with reelmagic every once in a while been fishing with same line for 2 yrs with no issues other than brush lol just change line the fall
