Thanks for a great video! My Dad passed away Dec 2013 He used this exact technic and could always fill a basket. He simply was The Crappie King! I haven't ate crappie in over 5 years but watching your video sure took me back to those good ol days! Thanks again I just liked and subscribed!

5 or 6? My grandfather fished until he ran out of bait. The best day of fishing with him and my grandmother was 52 years ago on Crescent Lake in Florida on a cold winter's day. He brought 150 minnows and we used them all. My grandmother caught 16, I caught 62 and he caught 63. We cleaned fish for hours.

Ice is finally getting off the lakes here in Michigan. This video takes me back to fishing minnows with my dad when I was a kid. He’d run two hooks about 18” apart and it was common to catch doubles. Thanks for the video.

Spent 3 days watching all your crappie videos. Then went out yesterday and caught well over a 2 man Iowa limit 25 a person only kept 15 and had a dang blast

Last time I crappie fishing I was standing on a pier near floating boat houses and the crappie were running 2 to 3 feet deep, man I can see that orange bobber sinking and catching those big black crappie. I miss those days.

I recall going to Forkland and Demopolis as a kid with mom and dad. We would tear em up down there with minnows, corks, orange bobber for me while mom and dad used quills. Dad caught one once that had gotten tangled in moms line. They caught same fish. Same time. Actually, mom's minnow and hook was in its gills. They were fishing too close together. I sure do love those memories. If you never tried it, crappie roe ain't bad eating either.
