This is what I've been looking for!! Was at D'Arbonne myself about 2 months ago and caught about 6 fish in 3 days. Chased hundreds, but they'd chase it them turn around. I'm fairly new with Livescope and flat out love it. Since it Initially came out and everyone was showing the screen, now hardly anyone does. I don't like looking at someone just catching them. Mike Baker does an excellent job also showing livescope. Keep it up and I'll keep watchiing. GREAT JOB

Thanks so much Bob! So great to hear that and I'm going to check out Mike Baker's videos tonight also! If the fish do that thing where they follow it up and turn away from it very often I figured out that I need to change the color/shape/size of the jigs or alter the presentation completely in some way. Locally you can get the tiny 1.5 inch jigs from Honey Hole or Toledo Tackle and those have been working great. I'll post another video soon, good luck out there!

I know this video is over a year old, but I’m watching it for the first time. And you made the comment of you wanting to make a video along the lines of something that you were looking for yourself. This video and all the videos that I’ve seen that you have made so far Have really helped myself and few buddies of mine learn live scope, even when we can’t be out on the water fishing we’re watching your videos learning how fish react to the bait….. Thank you…

I like the voice over even though it is because of the mic. Sometimes I just think it’s better to discuss what was going through your mind. I have come to the conclusion of taking the scope of the trolling motor and you confirm it. Just been about 6-7 times since getting livescope but know it’s not going to work for me that way either
@HighQualityFishingVideos
@HighQualityFishingVideos Год назад
Thanks John! I think I'm definitely going to at least start all my videos with the voice-over going forward. Might switch over for some key moments so yall can hear the excitement or disappointment as it happened, lol! Man, I know some of the pros keep livescope on a trolling motor and do VERY well with it because they're so fast and accurate with their pitches but I'm just not at that level. Being able to aim that beam independent of where the boat is pointed is invaluable for me! If you do decide to put it on a pole, I posted a whole video of my setup and have been very very pleased with all of it. A few of my little DIY stuff might come in handy with your install also in there.

Great idea for a video, I agree even those that have started trying to teach livescope don't really explain well what's on the screen. My one recommendation for making it even better is adding graphics and visuals to point out what you're talking about when it happens. For instance at 1:19 I bet a lot of people don't even know what to look at when you're saying it, so adding a circle for a second or two over the spot of focus would be really helpful.

Thanks so much Ironclad! I am actually in the middle of making a more in-depth "Livescope 101" training video to go over everything I had to learn to use it effectively and trying to figure out all the graphics and animations part of it right now. I did make a quick video that highlights the fish/jigs and goes over the basics because I got similar feedback from friends/family that have never seen Livescope before where they were saying "I just see a lot of green dots everywhere?". That video is here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-KIGr-PCdvoE.html *I probably need to add that link to the details section of all the videos!

Great Livescope video! Looks like you have it pretty dialed in. I agree with mounting the transducer on a pole, that’s how I have mine mounted and I prefer it. Although, I have several buddies that have theirs mounted on the trolling motor shaft. I’ve fished both ways but still prefer my pole mount. It’s a learning curve either way 😉. One trick I’ve tried with success for jig chasers is to slightly twitch my rod tip. It works sometimes but that’s the thing with Livescope, you get to see all the ones that got away before you even get a hook set…🤪. Thanks again. Excellent video. Tight lines!

Thank you! That's what I've been playing around with also, trying little twitches or stops/drops, or a slow steady rise. Nothing seems to get them to consistently bite when they chase like that but I'm going to keep trying different techniques to see if I can pin anything down. If not I can't do much worse!

@@HighQualityFishingVideos yes sir all you can do is try different things. Sometimes nothing seems to get those rascals to fully commit. I think some or maybe a lot of the tournament guys use it on the trolling motor because they can glimpse where the fish is and get their jig to the correct spot in an instant. So I didn't have Livescope on my boat at all 3 months ago. What I bought was the LiveScope Plus which includes the LVS34 transducer + black box, and the GPSMap 1022 to pair those with. Along with that make sure you get really really high quality cables that are shielded well so you prevent any interference. I put all that together with a Summit transducer pole (because it was the least expensive) and it's been working great for me. I did mod the pole a bit with an extender-thingy that I attached to the pole handle with some hose clamps. I might put out a whole video showing my setup for everybody in case anybody wants to mirror what I've got.

Nice video, if I was an avid crappie fisherman a good investment. On a few occasions on my lake, boats around me have it and cannot buy a bite. I am catching fish but not sure what they are using, definitely not minnows, too darn expensive and you have to leave them at the lake if you do not use them all so you have to resort to jigs. I use a traditional sonar graph to find the depth and where the fish are, then turn it off, for some reason I get more bites. Not sure because the water is cold or certain frequencies on the transduce affect the fish and their sensitivity. Another guy at the same lake does the same thing and we talked about it, then he tells me not to tell anyone, let them come and go when they get skunked, it is a small lake, very popular, expensive homes all around and when the bite turns on a dozen boats will be on you quick since most guys are in the click with each other. The electronics does not guarantee you will catch but really nice to have. Another lake the limit is 25, you have to keep all fish no matter the size in December, the GWs are watching in teams with binos, you get to the ramp, bam sucker!!
@HighQualityFishingVideos
@HighQualityFishingVideos Год назад
Thanks for watching Ramm! Yeah there have been some days when getting them to bite is tough! Last year before I had livescope I would use a lot of poles + minnows out in deep water in the winter and caught a ton that way. Those minnows are expensive for sure, some days I could cast-net them in front of the boat ramps. The wild-caught bait always seemed to trigger bites way faster!

Thanks Jerry! In the garmin app it will let you record and save the recordings from what's on the screen in there and that's how I get my livescope screen recorded. Congrats on the new lvs34! I feel like a kid again every time I go out fishing now with all the new tech and getting to see all the fish!

@@HighQualityFishingVideos hey thank you brother. You are going to be very successful because your passion for this shows in your videos. Also you talk and very slow which is good, and explain things very well. You are one of the first or to me. My opinion the only one that has ever produced a video of this quality. Also I give you very high marks because you do return responses from other people as you just did me about 48 minutes ago. I am 64. Fishing has always been a passion of my life and you have helped renew it! After a very bad divorce and well I won't go on but I have learned to get back to what I like and you have helped me very much. Thank you. Don't take this wrong but love you man!!

@@jerrylowe9808 Jerry I am sorry to hear about the tough times, but if you just got yourself a livescope unit I have a feeling you are about to be smiling from now on! It really does change everything about the way you fish and makes every day exciting. Recently had two trips out where I didn't catch a single keeper, but the whole day was still fun because I was constantly watching and trying to catch fish. In the past those days would have just been me wondering why nothing was biting. Heading out again tomorrow to try my luck and see if some new lures and live bait might do the trick!

Great video. Couple things. How did you get the video from your phone to your computer? Also if you break your video up into different parts you get higher watch time through the whole vid like 15 min vs 45. So RU-vid’s algorithm will push it out more. And you also Have more content to put out like 3 videos vs 1. Love the vid!

Thanks! I used a micro sd card to record using the activecaptain/helm feature on the GPSMap 1022 and just moved the screen recording over to the computer on that. I will definitely start putting out shorter videos in addition to the longer ones also, maybe to highlight certain catches or just an overall highlight reel.

I can’t seem to find as many fish on Darbonne as you do. I need to find better areas out there.
@HighQualityFishingVideos
@HighQualityFishingVideos 3 месяца назад
Oh don't let the videos fool you, I have bad days out there also! I got skunked once last year on Darbonne actually. There are some days I just can't figure them out, but those days are getting fewer every year as I keep figuring out more about these quirky delicious fish. I don't really have any go-to spots on Darbonne (the whole lake is an outstanding fishery) But, my normal tactics for Darbonne are something like this: Fall/Winter: Go to the channel for LOTS of fish, or to the deeper timber for fewer but bigger fish. Spring: Shallow water cypress trees or look for staging fish around structure near the shallow/mid-depth changes. Summer: Docks or shady drop-offs with structure nearby...... although to be honest, I do not consistently catch fish on Darbonne in the summer in big numbers. By far my toughest season to get them on that lake!

What is the best location for mounting a lsv32 on a pole, starboard or port side
@HighQualityFishingVideos
@HighQualityFishingVideos Месяц назад
When I had a bass boat I mounted it on the opposite side from the trolling motor to reduce the chance of interference (and reduce my chance of tangling my line in the trolling motor!). If you've got a bigger boat or not worried about it being close to the trolling motor I would just put it on the side that matches the hand you'll want to turn the transducer with.

What pole are you using
@HighQualityFishingVideos
@HighQualityFishingVideos Год назад
Hey David, I usually bring three rods with me: An 8ft Berkley ultra light trout rod which I use for casting to the fish if they're extra-skittish that day. The other two are 12ft B&M jig poles which are my primaries most days. I bring two of them just to have a backup in case anything happens to one. *David, I just re-read your question and realized you might be talking about the livescope pole mount. I'm using the Summit pole and mount. Relatively inexpensive and I've been pleased with the pole and the support from the company when I was installing it.
