Ikr? One thing I didn't like about Crash 4 is the low amount of boss fights. Ripper Roo, Tiny, Pinstripe, the Komodo Bros, and many more were left behind, which is disappointing.
Another thing I feel might've been cut from the game were parts of the N.Tropy boss fight. Like the start and end of the whole boss fight make it seem like Tawna, Dingodile and Cortex took part in it, but you only play as either Crash or Coco and the boss fight only has two hit points, it might just not be it but it does seem like they had more planned for the N.Tropy boss fight.
Yeah, it should have played like the Evil Twins boss from Twinsanity where you got phases where you switch between all playavle characters. It's like the boss fight was just begun after two hits and suddenly got abrupt end.
@@RPGNoZero Female N.Tropy even literally said that she wanted to see what "these mongrel could do as a pack". Just seems so obvious that they normally would have done a Twinsanity again with that fight.
I want to belive that the plan was: -Getting to N Tropy’s base using all of the masks and deactivating the force field (while at the same time weakening the doctors) -Using Dingodile and his vaccum to destroy the core of the Rift Generator -Tawna using her grappling hook to hurt the doctors and send them flying; leading to the cutscene we end up getting Cortex wouldn’t get a playable role because he gets reserved for the main villian role afterwards.
One, I wouldn't say _cheated..._ it's a fairly lengthy game, even discounting backtracking. Two... never rule out the possibility of such things becoming DLC. Obviously not the plot-related aspects (as that would fundamentally alter part of the base game), but extra levels, skins, or even a boss? That's another story.
Bruh there isn't a single game out there that didn't have something cut during development, you gotta ship a product at some point. Crash 4 has plenty of great content to justify it's asking price.
Just to clarify, "Unknown Tawnaverse" and most of the other unused tracks that aren't mentioned on the list given here are actually my own names I gave them that relate to their atmosphere. Although, "Unknown Tawnaverse" in particular does make sense for the track I have uploaded of it, since we literally don't know a single thing about Tawna and FemTropy and their dimension... other than it actually existing in the story now as an unused plot hole, which could be used for a sequel as a darker tone! That would be very interesting to see. Most of the other songs that have their own artists besides Roadrunner Rag, they are actually copyrighted and are fully fledged songs of their own (likely placeholders before any composition would've probably been made for said levels like Bay Breeze or Aren't I Clever Mummy). Really really interesting to see how much more this game offers to what could potentially lead to a sequel from here! P.S.: "Dynamic Duo" is probably either an unused cinematic cutscene or a placeholder for the title screen. Both fit perfectly. It's also up there with "Unknown Tawnaverse" being a title that I gave it myself.
I feel like a "death clock" would have been an inverted trial. Like "Heres 5 minutes. Beat the level in this time or die! Have fun!" You know, like old school mario or 2-d sonic when you were on time.
@@BIIIIIGMAN that makes sense, though the ripper roo model is already in game and the boss music is as well. All they needed was to expand the level a bit and make the boss section
@@itsbkinthemix It is possible they ran out of time coming up with an idea for an original Ripper Roo fight. They had everything ready except for the gameplay design for that boss battle
I feel like there was suppose to be a cutscene for the opening of Crash landed. It's implied by the level that the ship Crash and Coco got in crashed on Bermugula.
Also, has anyone else noticed that the game never addresses the egg that N. Brio laid after the boss fight? They keep it the whole game, but nothing ever happens with it, but you see it in the final cutscene next to the couch. Is that more cut content or a possible plot device for a potential sequel?
btw the crash dance was definitely cut because toys for bob posted a gif on twitter of crash doing the crash dnace before the game released but its no where to be found
@@fernandomartin661 yeah true, would've fit the multiverse type thing they were going for, plus Alt Tropy is apparently from the same dimension as Alt Tawna and based on the Alt Master of Time's dialogue, it seems simply that Alt Tropy was successful in taking over the world, killing off that worlds version of the Bandicoot Duo and making Bandicoots enslaved out of spite, honestly you can see why Alt Tawna was more than happy to tag along with the OG timeline crew in the end, cause she has nowhere else to go.
That would explain why run it Bayou music is a remixes of Ripper roo's theme if he was originally supposed to be there in some form. But overall Crash 4 is still a great game but it's a shame they didn't have a enough time to put every idea into it maybe if it sell wells we can get some of it as Dlc down the road.
I would also Like a dlc well not only for riper roo but for koala 🐨 Kong and pinstripe and papu papu and the komondo bros these characters don't come in a lot lot of crash games
i feel there are several things that could be reworked to make this game even better, let's hope when the pc version comes they will fix riding levels and other minor issues, but I don't expect we'll get real ntropy fight (fighting as a team is suggested)
True, he would've been a fun villian to bring back, even if they didn't destroy him, but yeeted off a cliff or whatever would've been fair, the norm for the the insane boy...
@@rohiniparmar6924 true and as a kid growing up who played Crash 2 to death, i recall in the manual that he was insane in the previous game and got help and education which allowed him to reach success, but in Crash 2 you see him as a well educated professor kinda guy and you beat him and every other appearance after that game shows him im his insane form save for Crash Bash for his stage cameo, implying you broke him beyond repair and i thought giving Ripper Roo further appearances in future games would be a Jekyll and Hyde situation where he would switch personalities from a well educated gentleman kinda guy to a almost nearly invulnerable, explosion tanking, lunatic, honestly there's potential with the guy.
9:51 they need to add that feature in this game so we dont have to wait 30 seconds to restart the damn level when you die. It would make this game waaaay less tedious.
It’s always interesting hearing about a game’s cut content, and Crash 4 is definitely no exception. While it’s a shame we didn’t get plenty of this stuff, mostly due to time constraints, the game as whole already feels like a satisfying and complete package to me that anything more would just be an added bonus that I’d rather see in a potential Crash 5 instead. Though it’s not like with Twinsanity, which reportedly has more cut content than actual content in-game, as much as I adore it.
8:08 Huh, I wonder if they were trying to recreate the minecart levels from WOC, also maybe throw in some new gameplay involving Crash teaming up with Cortex, which is something along the lines of Twinsanity? Interesting...
I really love the name "aren't I clever Mummy" it's because of the other clever names they had for the different levels, such as: "Booty Calls", which to me is really saying Duty Calls; "The Crate Escape", which is replacing great with crate; and "Snow Way Out" which to me was like no way out. my point being Toys for Bob had great names for their levels and the fact that not only they didn't add an Egyptian world, but they had a great name for one of the levels that was wasted, if it was really in the game I would be laughing my head off about it, but in a positive way, like when Cortex called N. Tropy (sorry if I spelt his name wrong) a peacock. lol thx for coming to my Ted Talk
9:27 the time trial clock with a skull and crossbones (to me) further backs up the theory the the N. Sanely perfect relics are likely connected to Uka-Uka, most likely the magic that made him a living evil mask, but he lost it all when he summoned a quantum rift.
I think they cut some of this content on purpose so they can release it later in batches over time, like how some content creators make backlogs of videos to make it easier on themselves, which makes sense in my opinion.
When I think of the Death Clock mechanic, I’m thinking that the clock counts down instead of up, As you run, you need to get boxes that increase your time. When the clock hits zero...you get the idea, and you have to restart from the beginning.
Near the boss stage of the space world there are asteroids or space rocks positioned as if they were a path. I always have the impression that they could be a path to another level, especially considering that N. Oxide has never actually been defeated, he just disappear and that has never been clarified. I think there could also have been a cut level here or an alternative path (maybe the one traveled by Tawna) where you had to challenge Oxide with the spacecraft.
It’s a shame how Ripper Roo was cut from the game, because he deserves more recognition at how he was in a few games. At least the developers put him in as a Easter egg.
@@IcicleBunny You sure, because according to some of the data mine that others revealed and mister Bo made of a video saying that he was in the playable files
@@IcicleBunny Yes but there two. One for the bosses and the other for the playable characters and it Ripper Roo was in the playable place holder. I think you should check Mister Bos video.
I would have LOVED more levels in the N. Sanity Island dimension! I feel like only two levels is too short. I miss the nice island / jungle vibes that should be present in at least two more levels!
I hate the N.Sanely Perfect relics with a burning passion, but if TFB stuck with multiple tiers & only made the first one (maybe the second one.) required for full completion, this game would have been a lot less of a pain to complete! I also think the platinum times shouldn't have been required, either! But that's just my thoughts.
Well, it's interesting that Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time has the cut content same thing as Crash Twinsanity has the content, and Crash Team Racing: Nitro-Fueled has three cut characters as well. 🙂 But I would love to see five new Crash's skins, two new Coco's skins, three Tawna's skins, four Dingodile's skins, and five Neo Cortex's skins as the DLC skins, Ripper Roo as a possibly DLC playable character, and the brand new levels: "Unknown Tawna Verse", "Take You to the Paradise", "Bay Breeze", "Killer Surf", and "Aren't I Clever Mummy" as the DLC levels for Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time very soon. I don't know yet. But I'm looking forward to it. 🙂 But I also can't wait to get my hands on "The Art of Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time" the concept artbook made by Toys for Bob developers very soon until it'll be released from Amazon Prime by December 8th. Just like I've got "The Art of Spyro: Reignited Trilogy" the concept artbook made by Toys for Bob for my 26th birthday in two months ago. 🙂
@@therunawaykid6523 Yeah, I could imagine. 🙂 Oh, and by away, would you mind to tell this person in the comment named @Wisnu Wardhana to leave me alone, please? He keeps bugging with his ridiculous nonsense ideas of his. And he's very annoying to me, and he's getting on my nerves every times he does that in my comments. 😒
I was thinking on it in my own Crash 4 rework/Possible Crash 5 mechanic notes and I think I might know what the N Sanely perfect Relics might have actually been. Take the name in, Relics. Like the Time Trial Relics, the look at the fact there are 3 tiers. And the cut skull clock. Why in the world would there be a clock activation item if it was just "make it through the level hitting all the boxes without dying"? It would be kinda weird for there to be tiers there. Which then made me realize 2 possible things: 1. The mechanic of 3 extra similarly designed items aside from the "All Crates Gem" makes me think they were slightly turned into both the Wumpa/Bumpa Gem and the Death Limit Gem. 2. Considering there is a purple skull clock and 3 types of 3D model Skull Relics, what if it was similar to the Time Trials where the Skull would be seen at the end of the level instead of the see-through-crate-then-becoming-Gem-on-approach (which by extension could explain how the regular Time Trial Relics probably SHOULD have worked where instead of the crate visual, it would have been the Time/Skull Relic itself floating there, would explain how they had 3D models for the Relic items in Team Rumble, wouldn't surprise me if those models were in the files for this game), but the way to stop the clock would be to defeat enemies, rather than numbered yellow crates.
There’s so much cut content that I feel like a sequel is in the works. So many of these concepts are cool and would be wary to implement in a Galaxy 2 esq follow up
There’s one thing I wished it wasn’t cut from the game. I saw a concept art of Tawna wearing a cropped hoodie and ripped jeans with a small purse that looked like Aku Aku. I thought she looked so cool in that outfit and I would’ve definitely enjoyed playing as Tawna like that. Look for the Crash 4 concept art on the Crash wiki, and you’ll see what I mean.
Hmm, imagine if the Death Clock meant that the N. Sanely Perfect relics were perhaps intended to be a completely separate mode, Death Trials, much like the Time Trials.
Why don't they add some of the levels like the pyramid one as bonus levels, and add new skins to go along with them. Like how Vicarious added Future Tense. To bring people back to the game
I really would have liked to see a pyramid-themed level. It was one of my favorite themes back Crash Warped. From what I know, at least one of the music tracks (Killer Surf) is a stock music track that they likely used for testing purposes.
N. Sanity Island should have had more levels because that’s where it all started for Crash and the theme is extremely beautiful. I bet there was levels cut from N. Sanity Island because the difficulty sky rocketed right after it.
I was thinking about how there SHOULD have been a death clock at the start of the level. I feel so much better knowing i wasn't the only one that had this idea. And i really wish they went through with that concept, loading times are bullocks. I know older Crash games didn't have them, BUT restarting a level didn't take ages if you wanted to do that.
I feel like the reason Crash 4 had a lot of cut content is because (as far as I know) the gam had 1 year of development because CTR Nitro Fueled came out the year before so I feel like they didn’t have enough time to put in all of the content they wanted.
9:16 there's also the relic version of this. Shame that Crash 4's relic is probably the best looking relics in the series, but we can only seen it in image
Well, obviously I think that context for how you find the other masks was REALLY important, and probably shouldn’t have been cut out of the game! If that N.Sanely Perfecf relic clock worked the way you said, then I would DEFINITELY be more in to getting Perfect Relics. When I was practicing getting flashback tapes, I would collect the time clock, and practice getting up to its spot, so that if I died it would just restart me. Now that I think about it, it would be pretty cool if something like that was there from the start!
i wish the perfect relics got cut, it pains me that this is the first Crash game i wont be getting max % on. Crash 1 it was fine because it was the first game, the levels were short and there werent hundreds of boxes in BS hiding places. but Crash 4....i got to the swamp area and gave up on going for the perfect relics, knowing that harder levels were coming
You know I did not notice ripper roo when I was playing the game but this just proves it that he’s in it and make me wonder how he got their could be the rift or could it be that neo cortex was actually going to have him as a boss but he was too annoying so sent him to that place.
About the songs, some of them had their names in the files, others were named by Abdul, but all the ''cut songs'' in the files were anything but that. Most of them are APM music found easily online, they weren't composed for the game, they were probably just used as placeholders during development and left in the files.
I KNOW ANOTHER DEATH CLOCK IDEA THAT IT MAKES YOU TO GET THE NSANLEY PERFECT RELIC AS FAST AS POSSIBLE AND EACH TIME YOU DO IT FASTER YOU GET A CUT CONTENT NSANLEY PERFECT RELIC OR THE NORMAL
Cool video, also one thing to note is that the earlier versions of the game had wumpa fruit counters so its quote possible that originally you would of got rewarded for collecting every piece of fruit and then they discovered it was too hard to do so and thus they changed it to the system we have today.
I think the death clock was how you started the developer time trials since the clock is purple and the times are hell. It would only appear once you’ve earned the platinum relic in that stage. Probably cut do to the clock we have now can just as easily do the same thing.
Would have loved the pyramid/Halloween stuff as a dlc world. It’s always sad to see cut content like ripper Roo as a boss or potentially 2 extra levels in the beginning as I feel those cuts would have made it better. Or the feature like your skull clock theory. I find it very annoying when games don’t include a “retry” option in the start menu and instead you’re taken back to the main menu and have to reload the level.
Wow the Death Clock would’ve saved so much time for not just the NSPRelics but the Flashback Tapes. It’s been such a hassle how they’re basically the updated version of Death Routes, but a death before a first checkpoint still locks you out of them.
Another thing that is probably just speculation but I feel like originally the N Tropys boss fight was meant to have you also playing as Tawna, Dingodile and possibly even Cortex fighting against the Tropys especially since female Tropy says something along the lines of “Let’s see how well you fare against a group” which seems to suggest that possibility, but yeah that was misleading dialogue and even though the setting to the boss fight and the beginning of it playing with all the masks was interesting the actual boss fight was pretty disappointing especially with the low hp for the Tropys
The mine cart is in the game if you get all 4 hidden gems and beat the secret path on toxic tunnels you get put in a mine cart for a good 18 sec and then it gives you like no time to get out I almost died there
my theory on the death clock is that it makes things even HARDER, so say for those who want to get 100% completion via trophies/achievements, they could try to get through a level where it's extremely harder like say the cut level from Crash 1 which was brought into N Sane Trilogy as DLC - Stormy Ascent and the 2nd DLC for Warped where you had to use all your powers. So it would make a lot of sense for there to be a death clock so that you could challenge yourself.
After seeing this video, I just have to say this. These levels, worlds and skins will be added in the future, they have to be since toys for Bob were responsible for the Skylander series - a game collection notorious for expansions. Don't give up folks
Man, if your speculation on what that Perfect Relic mode would have been was correct, that would have been so damn handy. Its so annoying to die (while having to watch your unskipable death animation), wait until you respawn, then pause the game, restart level, sit through a loading screen only to try again. I think perfect relic runs test your patience as much as skill lol
Learning that Ripper Roo was cut from the game as a potential boss is kinda saddening cause he is a good boss character to have. Also to learn that there may have been cut levels entirely come on..I would have preferred more levels then cut content.
Hey Crash Bandicoot fans out there, you guys should make a fan-made Crash Bandicoot CGI-animated spin-off series call: Tawna And Cocos that takes place after the events of Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time and the quality of Tawna And Cocos needs to be straight-up incredible to behold than your average low-budgeted fan-made projects these days, it'll genuinely make you feel like you're actually watching a official Crash Bandicoot CGI-animated spin-off series. Also at the start of Tawna And Cocos, both Tawna And Coco befriend the older Coco from another dimension and later on in the spin-off, both Tawna and the older Coco start to have feelings for each other and after thinking about it for a little while, both Tawna and the older Coco decide to have a bandicoot lesbian relationship with each other.
I wish we got the skins for the side characters it would have been cool, and that we got that level with Cortex and Crash in a mine cart and the Tawna running with crash and coco from the dinosaur (I always forget it's name 😂) cause it made more sense and then it would have been cool too have a end plot twist where they think everything is good and then reality breaks and starts merging causing all of them to work together again to fix it, and maybe this reality would cause Crunch to show up and then they take down the N.Trophy in this version of the story.
I wish they would have just added the two levels that were supposedly in N.Sanity Island. Also, the Ripper Roo boss fight would have been interesting. Overall though, I feel like this game was a complete package unlike Twinsanity, which the cut content does not bother me a ton.
Can't wait to hear about the level they cut because it was "too difficult". Too difficult...for Crash 4. That sounds like an Omen (Joking of course but still...funny thing to think about)
What about the beta Lani Loli design? The same piece of art that leaked N Tropy and Dingodile as a playable character had a strange alternate "two faced" design for what seemed to be an early version of Lani Loli.
i would have liked to see "giant boomerang tawna" in the game even if the grapling hook works better gameplay wise, i like her design much better. also not really cut content but i hope crunch returns to the series.
If the boomerang worked like Stick's boomerang in Sonic Boom Fire and Ice or the bubble missile in Spongebob Battle for Bikini Bottom, that would've been great, especially with how awkward the grapple can be sometimes
We will definitely see more when the artbook will come out. For what we know now, what really deserved to be in the game, for me, was mostly Ripper Roo's boss fight before meeting Kupuna-Wa. I'm a big fan of Ripper Roo, I'm kind of glad he is still in Crash 4 somehow, but knowing that he had an actual role in the story instead of just showing up in two short sections is just... Too bad. And too bad there're some more original characters that weren't in the game in any actual shape or form, like the Komodo Brothers or Papu Papu (and yes, we have a picture of Tiny Tiger on a wall, but that just isn't like seeing Tiny Tiger himself or at least his alternate version from another universe)
