PLATINUM TIME TRIAL RELICS INFO:
- First you must beat the level. Then on replay it will have a golden stopwatch at the start that triggers the time trial. The goal is to speedrun the level as fast as possible. Based on your performance you get a relic (Sapphire, Gold, Platinum, Purple). Platinum is the 2nd highest.
- There are 38 Platinum Relics total. You need them for the Faster Than Sound trophy / achievement. Purple Relics (the highest tier) automatically count as Platinum.
- The most important move is Slide-Attack. This makes you go much faster. After the story you also unlock Triple Spin which gives you a speed boost but it's less user-friendly than Slide-Attack. Try both to see what gives you better results in a given level.
- Destroy the Time Crates along the way, they stop the timer.
- Go for Triple-Masks (3 mask pickups), this makes you invincible so you can run straight through Nitro/TNT crates, traps and enemies.
- There are no checkpoints in Time Trials. If you die you will respawn at the beginning.

One of the tougher levels since playing as Cortex is an absolute nightmare, but the VERY generous plat time makes it definitely doable. Just get the awful Cortex section before 1:12 (very manageable) and you are good as long as you don’t mess up. Thanks for the great video, PowerPyx!

Another super generous Platinum Relic time. I messed up tremendously in the Cortex segment and still got it. As of this level I still think Perfect Relics are significantly harder. Something like 80-90% of Platinum Relics are just handed to you even if you make several mistakes. Only levels I really struggled with so far were Jetboard Jetty and Rock Blocked.

100% agree. Perfect relics took me wayyyyyy longer than plat relics...some perfect relics took me upwards of nearly 2 hours to complete just 1 level....im looking at you crash landed....

It really makes me wish they either made the platinum times a bit more challenging, or otherwise included an additional tier of relics that wasn't as draconian as dev times. I kind of want a slightly harder challenge than many of these platinums were for me but I absolutely do not want to have to get a time that is 30 seconds lower than platinum.

This is the worst level to do time trial, the level does not flow well especially in Cortex part, this level just not be meant to speed run, although the platinum time is very very lenient

no its not lmao. These plat times are very generous....powerpyx was very sloppy here and still got the plat relic.

@LouisLerouxisbae fr, I was going as fast as I could in rock blocked and only made it with 3 seconds to spare. Took me about 10 hours to complete it, tho 😭

This level accounts for how ridiculously bad Cortex levels are for speed runs. As long as you know the proper path for his section and do really well in Crash's, you should be good.

Is this level possible if you get to Crash section by around 1:14? Only to get basic platinum time it's 2:06 is that going to be possible anyone know?
