This was my first kit build and I truly enjoyed it. I've since built the VRD Carbon and Bully 2 kits along with my latest /first custom build of the Poizd T3v2 Killmode chassis. I'm truly hooked on this crawler genre and haven't purchased a basher in over a year. You have been a huge source of inspiration and education as this rookie gains more time at the bench and on the rocks. Thank you.

the VRD KIT when it came out not long after the Axial pro - just killed it, especially price-wise - and what you get for the $$ and still, the VP Pheonix kit is the best kit for the $ in my mind -you get a full body set you can easily sell for $100 - and you are at $300 in

If you use the wrong screw length in the front servo mount in the chassis, it will cause that plate to warp and rub on your spur gear. You are also going to find you want to go to a 45 to 55 KG serval for the steering if you plan to do any high rock crawling in my experience

Now I'm sitting here trying to remember what servo I put in it... RS4000! I had blanked. I'd say for CMS that's probably true, I try to shoot for around 50kg-- but with SOA, and particularly this setup, I think even 30-35kg is probably plenty.

I did the portal conversion on mine absolute live it….it has its drawbacks like any portal vs straight axle…but one thing I love about the portals is it eliminated torque twist of chassis on accell. …..

After seeing the whole process I think I'd rather cobble together an Amazon build. Axial have made something slightly incompatible to what they made before with what seems to me to be minimal benefit to the buyer.

The best parts of the Pro are the axles and rails, which you can get on Amazon without ever getting Axial involved.

the rails in my kit had a curve/bend - I recon they are stamped out - hence the bend

my local comp places use the SORRCA LITE rules, and you need 4.5" of height at the cab, which neither of these bodies meets. I have one rig on the Stance, and I added some material to the bottom to be compliant. "Slamwagon"....can we name the Pro that? I can't wait to see the perf comparos!

The geo seems pretty good, and everything (eventually_ fits together pretty well, but I think you can probably build an AliExpress Pro for less money.

That body looks flat and squared on every side, its like a racecar Jeep Wrangler Also, that PRO is yours, or its from a Canyonero? If its yours, maybe changing the body isnt a bad idea if you dont like it... I have to say, that I like selectable 0% UD and 33% UD. 33 might be too much anyway Rain Bird sound like a nice name
