Very good going considering the tyres. Looking forward to what it can do with AT tyres and a decent winch - obviously business expenses to get it ready for off road recovery. OOoh just had a silly thought, imaging converting the V8 transit to 4x4!!!!

First time I went off road was in a 1960 series 2 land rover it was 50 years old, frightened me it would go anywhere

If you want a reasonable priced at tire, i can recommend cooper discoverer at3. I have these on my work isuzu d max. I these are good on and off road and a sensible price, i have been across similar conditions, the only thing the discoverer lacks is an agressive side profile compared to a bfg. I have yet to get stuck with them!

The sticky bit just before you stopped to show your tyres was my favourite place to wazz about on my mountain bike with a couple of mates, humps and jumps were next to the field. The place where you actually stopped to show tyres is where I currently go to fly my drone, as it's just outside the RAF Cranwell Flight Restriction Zone. Those WW2 pill boxes are on the perimeter of what was RAF Wellingore that had Spitfires and Hurricanes based there.

Excellent video. I haven't been down that 'road' for over 15yrs. Used to have a blast down there on trial bikes at least twice a month in all weathers. We started at Byards Leap Cafe and went all the way to the perimeter fence of RAF Waddington on a combination of mud and tarmac. Only been watching your channel for a couple of weeks after one of your videos popped up on my feed. Watched it, liked it and subscribed. Brilliant - keep it up.

I've had a twin cab 110 on muds. Td5 it went anywhere 😎 if I could have any car I've owned back, that is number 1. I got to deliver game birds to woodland with a discovery 3 tdv6 commercial. Although I did get it stuck a couple of times, the conditions it pulled a big twin axle trailer through was extremely impressive. Epic traction control on them things. Malcolm looked like he wasn't fazed 😎 brilliant video as always 👊👊

Can't beat a disco or range off road. Even with road tyres. Love my range, towed loads out of the shit.

BOATS in Glos are now nearly all Restricted Byways. NERCA came in and reclassified loads of them, so you are really going to struggle finding green lanes in Glos. You might still find the odd RUPP, but the only sure way of knowing is to go to the local council office and look at the "definitive map" with the RoW officer. DO NOT get caught driving on any road that is not legally a RoW for cars/motorcycles. You'll need insurance, MOT and tax. I spent years trying to save green lanes in Glos, all to no avail because of the fucking ramblers and their ability to turn heads in the Govt. The last laugh is no them though as loads of what was once a road that EVERYONE could use, are now impassable due to them being overgrown and not maintained. Horses, wheelchairs, push bikes, motorcycles and walkers have now lost 100's of miles of roads. Makes me weep it does.

Get a sleaford recovery wrap made for it.

Everyone knocks them range rover and disco's but I was watching some 4x4 channel the other day in North Wales and you had all these purpose built 4x4's and a stock range rover sport. Don't think it even had off road tyres. And the 2 lads driving it looked like they just come out of a nightclub. It actually come second in the scoring. I feel i need a disco in my life now 😮 Great video mate keep them coming 👍

My mate had Suzuki SJ 410 years ago ,regularly went off road when went sea fishing. Disco’s are excellent things, never seen a manual one though. Enjoyed that Ben , with a bit of local history too. Have you considered getting the Landie wrapped.

It runs from LaDainian to the West Midlands in Warwickshire and it goes to where you are as well. Have a look on the map how long the Fossway is it goes to stone in the world as well 😅😅😅

The first time I went green laneing was around Lakenheath in my old crv managed to get two punctures but me and my boy and our friends had a great time. Awesome video as always and looking forward to the next one 👍🏻

Wicked buddy we don't have green lanes like that where we are bloody councils built over them all it's heart breaking tbh . I don't know whether I should say thank you or not for bigging up the land rover , Ems chewing my ear about getting one for the business more than ever now lol .. while I was watching this video with Em and Bruno I momentarily had a vision of you and Malcolm throwing me back to a scene in Wallis and grommet I will have to dig out a still and send it you . All the best to you and your family from Mark and Emily at Rooster Recovery also quick note while i think about it ,i was pulled by traffic police today for having rear facing red flashing lights he said he would hit me with a £55 fine unless i disconnected them i was fuming and told him that we are allowed and he agreed we should have them but they are only for police vehicles as people could get confused . I pointed out my vehicle is yellow and red and clearly states recovery rescue all over it and list my services down the side of it and looks nothing like a police vehicle . He said disconect them and we will leave it at that but he was going to look into the law as now he wasnt sure . Ben im going to download the law laminate it and have it in my cabs may i suggest you do the same mate it saves alot of hassel. all the best

I've always fancied going straight over there at the A17 but don't think my GTI Polo would fair too well! Haha. Looks good fun though. If you'd have gone left at the end you'd have got to Navenby, and I believe the road use to continue and RAF Waddo now sits on where the road use to go, and would've joined at Bracebridge where the main road goes straight after the S bend as you come in on the A607. I agree with you though, it's important roads / green lanes like that keep getting used so historical routes don't get forgotten.

Currently building my new off road toy after the rot finally killed my last one (contemplating doing a build video to put on here) am only at Lincoln and haven't actually tried that lane yet may have to be my first venture once it's built
