We swapped out all the metal parts in a pair of Custom shop Burstbuckers... How did we do ? screws 1010 , slugs 2015 Keeper 1010 type 4, Rough cast Long Alnico 2 ... screw coils exchanged positions. Bridge 7.7k Neck 8.2k
Yes it's worth it if they are the old 490 set (2003 and older) but the new ones have much more clarity and mid range butter and bite so they sound pretty good always.
