Crazy Huskies LOVE DEEP SNOW | Husky Squad
Come escape into Winter wonderland (before the snow melts!) and join the Husky Squad as they carve snow tunnels through the trails of Mt. Hood Oregon. The Squad is at home in this beautiful serene region and we’re so happy to be back. At least for a little while.
Doesn’t Tidus look adorable with his new braces? This was his first TRUE HIKE since his ACL injury. With the protection of the new braces, he was able to hike three miles that day. Soft deep snow is a great tool in the healing process for Tidus since it’s low impact on the joints, but a lot of work to build back those leg muscles.
We’re so happy to see him enjoy the snow! We tried getting to lake that was frozen over and filled with plush snow, but we monitored Tidus and decided we’ll be back another day … and we’ll get it on video for you guys when we do!
FUN FACT: Yuna & Kimahri broke trail that was about 2 ft deep. They carved tunnels throughout the trail making it visible for the next crazy winter hiker heading toward the Pacific Crest Trail. You’re welcome Mt. Hood Lovers! :)

I don't know why, but your videos always elicit such a deep emotional response. The way you capture the natural beauty of both the babies and their surroundings is amazing. The freedom of enjoying what comes most natural for them, and how you all interact just touches my heart. Sometimes I wonder how it's possible to love what you have never seen in person or held, but watching them play and exhibit the sheer joy that they feel; is just a feeling of love! Seeing Tidus able to participate is truly an indescribably wonderful feeling. May Tidus continue to heal with each passing day. So many wonderful thoughts for all of you being sent your way. We did a deep snow video earlier this year. Michigan has had so much snow this year! More then we have seen in the past 10 years! It's been so nice to have snow like this again! Looks lie you all had a blast!

Hey guys! I just watched the video and left a comment! ❤️ That’s crazy how much snow you got this year. We lived in Wisconsin for a short while (back in the day) and we got snow dumped every year with frigid temps. In the Pacific Northwest, it takes a short drive to the mountains to see snow, but it’s so different from the Midwest. The snow just comes and goes several times in a Winter depending where you live. Hope your pups enjoy it as much as they can before Spring hits ❄️🌨🌞🌻

we did a 4 wheel drive earlier this year.Up by the Concno had so much so much snow this year! Nothing like huskies playing in the snow. Absolutly beautiful and the scenery amazing.

Jim Whitmore ahh thank you Jim 😀 we all had such a wonderful time as a pack. Tidus was the one the most tired, but it also helps him so much with muscle building. We’re all being loving and patient as a pack 😃 3 miles hardly feels like anything for the 5 of us since we usually average about 10 miles in winter terrain, and about 15 miles without snow ❄️ we’re getting there! More to come and have a beautiful weekend!

I just started watching your videos yesterday and I love them! I'm learning so much from your squad so thank you! We just adopted a husky mix a little over 2 months ago. His name is Rogue. I'm noticing most of your videos are filmed in Oregon. We are also from Oregon, Sandy to be exact. Which is very close to Mt. Hood. Our husky is a Male and he seems to be lonely since we have no other animals and our kids are grown. Would you recommend getting him a friend? Possibly us adopting another husky so he had a play mate??

Thank you for your message, Kristina. Yes, we know exactly where Sandy is! We lived near the Bridgeport Village. We're not in Oregon at the moment, but we miss the trails in Mt Hood. Regarding getting Rogue a playmate. It really depends on your lifestyle. For active people who go on daily morning and evening runs or jogs, and frequent hikes and walks in nature, I'd say having just one husky is fine. No need to get a playmate as the husky needs are being met. For a less active person who goes on daily walks and frequent hikes, and the dog being alone at home for most of the day, then yes I'd say getting a playmate would be good. In our case, we're highly active people and we would have been fine with one husky, but you know...things happen 😀. Just remember that walking/hiking with two huskies means double the power! 😀 You could also foster and see how Rogue feels with having another dog in the house. If you do adopt, have a look at petfinder.com. I hear Portland is having a cool start to Fall. Enjoy the moody weather!

Husky Squad My son is 35 . He had another one before that had a stroke she was around 11 yrs her name was Icis. She lost the feelings in her hind end couldn't walk. She also went every where but on his 25 birthday she died laying next to him like she always did. It took him awhile to get another Husky.

It was around 30-32 Fahrenheit. Fluffy thick flakes with a bit of wet to it ❄️💙
