About the eggs - wrong picture. Most people put eggs in the home fridge. Most world does not keep eggs in fridge IN STORES. Most world does not wash eggs, which is what makes them last for weeks at room temperature. For all EU folk - notice where you pick the eggs next time you go to the store. It isn't the fridge. There is actually EU regulation about this, it's illegal to sell washed eggs.
