I’m really, really glad mark said that about college. The “school is a scam, drop out, do xyz” is so overplayed and cliche at this point. Of course you don’t need college to do something and you shouldn’t force yourself to do something you don’t want. But going against conventional wisdom isn’t automatically the right answer. Nobody is going to argue about it being overpriced but that doesn’t mean you need to kid yourself about the value of that kind of interaction. And there are many options to go to college for much cheaper if you’re willing to research and reach out. If you have something in mind or you genuinely cannot do school _while_ you have other things you believe in, of course don’t feel forced to do school. And tons of people cannot do college because even through scholarships or aid it’s just not financially feasible. But a lot of people have the opportunity, who just don’t wanna do homework and have this cope idea of college being totally useless, yet have no ambition for anything else will swear up and down you shouldn’t go to college. And you don’t need to go to a standard 4 year university either, there are many more options. You gotta think critically. Even as an introvert I learned so many valuable things about human nature going to college - being around not just people but all these different kinds of people, many of whom are, let’s face it, the rich and powerful future. Sure as hell is wise to learn how they think

College is what you make of it. I seen some people go to community college and make great lives for themselves, but I’ve also seen some people go to Ivy League schools and aren’t doing anything really right now. The fact is you gotta grind in life regardless to get to where you want to be. Some people are gifted in school, some aren’t gifted in school but in other areas. I’ll say a pro of college is that it will teach you a lot about yourself. I had a lot of growth through those 4 years.

I have a 3.5 gpa in my first semester at UNC Greensboro online as a transfer student it's definitely doable just gotta put all the distractions to the side no partying no drinking just gotta lock in and shit do what you gotta do college is easy well depending on what you are studying

Uk when u think about it there’s a lot of amazing shit ppl can do if u really focus. Like there are 16,17,18 year old Christians who know the Bible front and back, but they failing English, or they have C’s or whatever, like bro if u can read the Bible, imagine what you could if you put that same dedication into literally anything else. So the fact that they can pull an all nighter and finish the project before due, imagine if they put in that dedication just a couple weeks earlier or whatever. Which I get is hard to do, bc I’ve definitely done that before, but man it is amazing what we can do when we really want something to be done

We understand that College/University isn't for everybody because not everybody can sit down and study for lengths of time not everybody can sit in a test for 2-3 hrs some people can't even handle pressure, but College/University does alot for y'all don't just drop out thinking shit is sweet in adulthood cause it isn't but keep your head up high for those still in school and even those outside of school

Of all things in school I fucking HATE group projects even if it doesn't effect your grade much, I rather do a finals essay or something. I just don't like being forced to do projects with people because a high percentage of the time I end up doing most of the shit, luckily I had teachers who understood that and gave me a grade based on my part instead of the other group members parts.

Lol. I felt nostalgic during this clip. Went to Baylor in Waco for undergrad, so I know the Waco Zoo and those wooded areas. Went to TWU near UNT for grad school. I remember the yellow jackets, not the spiders.

I grew up in a low class area. Going to a big university let me learn a lot about wealthy people, and wealth in general. Didn't learn shit in my classes, they were all easy classes. But I did learn about people.

My only advice is to only do college if you’re going in with a bare minimum plan A and plan B. Don’t go just to go. Same with dropping out of HS. Always have a plan.
