We've had yet another crazy snowstorm, and this one brought with it so much snow - YAY!! I even filmed when I woke up in the middle of the night because it was so crazy! I hope you enjoy the video! 🙏🏻 I would love it if you subscribed 😍

@@jacobnoergaard yes, I was assuming access to food and other essentials! As I recall the supermarket in Longyearbyen is well stocked. (Although it’s been quite a few years since I’ve been there)

🇨🇦 ❤️🙏 Hello from Ontario Canada. One of my favorite days...ie, afternoon or evenings is when I'm inside cozy and warm with my fire place is going, while we are having snow storms. Although we here in Ontario Canada, we don't have the kind of snow storms that you's experience! 😵 Cecilia thank you for all the time you and Charlie put into making these videos for all of us! I'm not in DC, and my friends there are completely fine--the city is officially in a state of emergency, which is kind of similar to the lockdown we're all familiar with due to Covid. It's a nuts time, and I definitely will exhale after January 20! Warmest to you over in the UK! London is one of my favorite towns, and I had the privilege of hiking in the Peak District with friends a few years ago! Beautiful! We got to see Chatsworth (Pemberley in the Keira Knightley version of Pride and Prejudice, sigghhhhh)! And I'm a devotee of the Great British Bake Off, heh!

While I've been to North Norway several times (not Svalbard), I've learned from Cecelia that I prefer Svalbard from the comfort of my California Living room! ......though summer in Helgeland is delightful.

Thank you Cecila. Montreal used to get blizzard every year. However thanks to global warming the last time we saw a blizzard was in 2010. How I miss them. Just like you, they make me feel all cozy and warm as I sit on armchair and watch the snow blow on all directions. Your videos make me feel safe and secure and in a good place. Thank you for sharing your Arctic life with us. You have no idea how much good you do to so many people. Your voice and mannerisms is what we love about you. So loving and warm. Regards to Kris. I know my situation is not as bad as Svalbard. We have daylight throughout the year; however, at least 2-3 times each year in Wisconsin, USA, our whole house shakes so badly from the winter storms that our animals become afraid enough to wake us up, so I can in some ways relate. I thoroughly appreciate your positive attitude! When it becomes so cold, and windy, and treacherous to leave the house that I just want to hide under my blankets, you are an inspiration!

Wow. I had to put a jumper on to watch the first 3 minutes! Those cabins must be well built to survive winds like that with no damage, especially the roof and foundations. So considerate that you slept with Grim to comfort him, although I think I might have been under the table with him.

Wow, what a wild storm in Svalbard.🌩 Where I live we, just had a storm from the Pacific Ocean with 4" of rain in one day, winds as high as 60 MPH and our power was out for 24 hours. But our storm as mild compared to yours. Glad your all ok. Stay Safe. I'm waiting to watch some great new vidoes from your new toys. ☃❄

Fierce, was a fierce storm :) i would rethink candles though, or put them on a much wider base, wide enough to contain any side leaks. I’ve walked in on a candle softly dripping flaming wax, was quite the heart stopper 😁❤️🌿
