Maybe if you want to improve you should make CR10 Max so it homes the bed and actually works. It would be wonderful as well if you actually answered support requests so a quite expensive printer could actually be used. It is absolutely unacceptable that there is no help available. While the CR10S burns the control cards, the only problem free Creality printer is the Ender 3 Pro.
Man that was easily one of the best 3d printer reviews I’ve seen. There’s nothing like a quick fix. One of the fundamental teaching principles is to design in mistakes for the student too solve. Again excellent work. 🤜🏼🤛🏼🇦🇺🍀😎🤓
The good thing about your reviews is you show that almost every printer has the potential to be good if assembled and used correctly. The same cannot be said about all reviewers, which is why your channel is so good
Excellent review. Yet at 14:19 , I think that the insulation on the aluminium stiffener defeats their purpose because their rigidity doesn't benefit the bed anymore...
People should start saying where they get their printers from since each printer from different vendors is going to be different considering how many suppliers fix 3D printers they receive from the manufacturer of the 3D printer.
Awesome video, awesome prints! Could you share your Simplify3D profile as I the prints on my 10S Pro look way worse then yours, I thought the Creawsome Cura profile is good, but man, your‘s is way better
My only gripe is that with the new improvements over the Pro you now have to buy the max, which for most is WAAAY too big and sips far too much power. I wish they had a version that has those improvements, but is the same size as the Pro.
This was an excellent review. I appreciate the time spent focusing on simple fixes as well. I hope Creality watches this video and incorporates similar fixes into their updates.
Hey Nexi, thanks to this video i just bought and installed my cr10 max. 3d printing is all new to me and this is my first printer. I've followed your tips with the insulation cotton and the flower stick haha. Could you maybe give me some tips (or make a cr10 max tutorial) on the best way to use this printer? My main question for example is how did you decide the offset for the Z-axis and what print settings work best for this printer?
Great Video with lots of Brilliant tips. was wandering if you would do a slicer video for the settings you used with different nozzles. I have just received the CR10 Max. I printed the elephant example great, but cant get my own models to stick to the bed. It almost seems as if the nozzle is too high and wont push the first layer into the build tack. Im using the creality slicer.
Hej Nexi I own a 10 max and was trying to do the noctua fan upgrade but my power supply has 2 fans and each has 3 wires and every time I install the noctua fan my hot bed stops warming as soon I go back to Creality fans all is fine again
Hi, great review! I had to check out your channel and this is the 3D printer I've been thinking of buying. Mainly for car stuff so ABS may be the best option? Or at least that is the material used usually. Do I need an enclosure? I'm fairly new to 3D printing 😃
This is a great video. Been specualting whether to by the Cr-10 or the max. I think the max. =) Quick question. I saw you printed with ABS filament. Do you print with or without the enclosure? Inquiring minds wants to know. =) haaaaaa...
You Welcome Luke, Well like I point in the video this massive size 3D printer is not for everyone. Not everybody needs 3D printer this large but there are people that needs and like to print large objects and they will be very satisfied with CR10S Max.
I've been watching your videos for a while and seeing how you find solutions to problems without much effort, and then I ask myself, what prevents the engineers from finding these problems and fixing them the way you do? When you buy a product at such a high price you expect it to work properly without "necessary upgrades" BTW... I want to buy a new printer, around $ 500 maybe even mor ... Any recommendation? So far I am debating between the cr10s and the cr10s pro. I'm open to more recommendations besides these two models :)
Any chance on a link of the files to the filament guide you showed in the video. I have found with my new max that it was way better to take the spool off the top rail and move it to the bench below and the filament guide would be perfect for this. By moving the spool below and off the top frame, it reduced the overall vibration in the machine greatly. Thanks Andy
In 2021, a few of the issues you had with your printer were not present on my CR-10 Max; the wiring across the X gantry does not sag below the print anymore, it was well above the nozzle, also the wiring out of the back on the Y axis was not short on mine, there were plenty of slack and I saw no reason for concern. HOWEVER, the aluminum extrusions on bottom were definitely not improved; I went ahead and did the fix you showed in your video prior to assembly. Thanks again!
@@NexiTech I had that Y axis ringing you did in your video, did the exact same thing, put it on the floor and my ringing is gone, with the Z banding about 95% fixed; guessing that last 5% is tweaking the flow (had to do this on my Ender 3). Thanks again for your video it was a lifesaver!
Creality firmware sucks, yet they don’t fix the problems. I bought a Cr-10 max 2 months ago, even though I saw comments from more that a year ago complaining that the bed leveling was broken, I figured that they surely would have an update to address that by now. Nope! Same with the file name length bug. If you want fully functional machine, you are going to need to change to Marlin firmware. But Marlin firmware doesn’t’ have configuration files for the Max? Seems like this printer is not common enough that people (or maybe even Creality) have support for it. Maybe I will look at another printer from Creality when I see reviews that show the Creality have fixed their firmware!
2021, May: Don't remember where I have seen it but was available for less than $500. 2 QUESTIONS: - Is the controller board a 32 bit? or 8bit as on the previous Creality models? - where does it fall for noise level? not a value, but a comparison to other silent machines... THIS PRESENTATION!!! To the point, no fluff, no stupid jokes, pacy, thorough, with injected experience... I challenge anyone to match this level of presentation/review... I had seen another review which basically talked me out of this machine... after seeing this one, it is obvious the other presentation was made by one who lacked understanding and failed the machine rather than the other way'round.
So I assume all of your friends or family members have are all proud owners of some large PLA figurines ? I mean what's the point of printing those ? Are you selling them or something
Try the Elegoo Neptune 3 Max. $470 USD. 420x420x500mm print bed which is PEI, so no spatula needed. Direct drive. cable connected control screen. To be honest, a far better machine at a fraction of the cost.
Hello, I Am planning to buy my first 3D printer .I am currently checking all the Creality 10 Max 3D Reviews ,Currently they are not even close to what you reviewed and improved .I run a Data Recovery Company in India and i will be more then honored if i could ever do some data recovery for you ,I also run a RU-vid channel that you could see if you like .Of if this thing shakes all the tables how about building a concrete table for this beast ,That should be enough to keep the vibrations away ,whats your suggestion
Hican you please Check my CR10 MAx video after one week received blt touch doesnt work probe not extending for measuring just stays solid red. Flashed firmware and lcd now my computer wont pick up the printer connected through USB. @ thanks
Hello, I have a Creality CR-10S Printer that I can't get to print. The z Axis goes up and down when homing but won't When Printing. It just stays on the first layer. Is this a printer problem or am i doing something wrong in Cura ?
I'm new to this 3D printing world and the CR-10 Max is the first printer. I haven't been able to print successfully. I think its feeding to fast and works for about 20 min and then quits printing. I have to pull hard to get the filament out and start over. I know I just haven't set it up correctly but I can't find a good source of information on how to set it up. I'm using Creality Slicer 1.2.3 but the max isn't a printing option so i'm guessing on most things. Anyone able to point me in the right direction?
And thank you for commenting Inan. Well I'm not a fan of Alfawise 3D printers, usually they are just bad copy of Creality machines with lower quality parts and quality control.
thank you for the video. wich slicer program you have used ? people says the result is not good if you dont use creality123 slicer? is it true? have ever test it? wich slicer you recommend for 10 max
Graeat review video. Thanks to your video I just bought one yesterday because I need that print size and your great video took me out the insecurities. But I have a question. Which slicer you use? Because i just downloaded Cura and I didn’t see the peofile for this one. Can you help me out with this please?
Thank you my mate, I'm glad that my video help you out. I use Simplified 3D. In CURA you can use Cr10 or Cr10S4 printing profile as well. Just go to the machine settings and edit/increase machine size to 450x450x470mm
Thanks after watching this I removed the frame rails and stuck them onto a fire blanket then cut them out. Amazing even thermal Temps over bed after doing that. Great video
Any chance you could give me the footprint specs like front to back and width on where the feet are? i need the minimum length and width for it to sit on a table. Trying to build a table for it and don't have it yet.
Has this product been stopped? I bought one 6 months ago and 6 months later it developed a fault, now its going to be refunded but it seems I cannot buy it again.
Would you mind doing an updated video on this printer? I use this video once a week while printing with this printer. And would love a new video of upgrades and what not!
Another reason to not buy Ikea stuff xD .Nice quality prints for a chinese junker :) I wonder what you do with all those printers and big prints :) i really have a storage issue now lol.
hello i got a printer question i got today a cr10max built and did the lving spooling to it and i am trying to get my printer to print but it dosent seem to printe at all like the moment it says printing it just hovers above the print table what can be the pause of it ?
I need some opinión to make a decision (sorry if i don't spell right, english is not my native language) Here where i live, i found the ender 3, Brand new at $209, but, a well known store is selling a cr-10 max, used, but in a great shape, only used a few times for the showroom, at $417 There is the thing. -I'm a begginer. -i have the space to the big printer. -I have no problem if i need to learn a few things or follow a tutorial to fix some issues (i mean, i Will not study electronics for this, but i'm ok following instructions from a tutorial and buying some upgrades if they are easy to install). Im not planing to buy the printer thinking that i need it for printing something big, or something small, just be able to print many things So, which printer shoul i go for? is that cr-10max a great deal? or is really too difficult to use, that the ender 3 is still a better option, even i have to mod/upgrade it and it's volume limitation? thank you!
Have you tried using servo tape. RC modeler's dual sided rubber tape. Thin but has shock absorption properties. I just order my CR-10 MAX, of course its Covid delayed, but will try your fix using the Servo tape and let you know how it goes. Thanks for the video.
I just purchased a CR10MAX and am having a problem with the bed heater. The bed heater turned off sometime during the print. I just checked on my 6 hour print and the bed is at 21 degrees C ambient. Is the bed heater supposed to stay on for the full print time? I don't know when it went off, it was sometime before 95% done. The Print is warped on the left side pealing up off the bed. Have you seen a problem Like this?
Hi ! Thanks for your instructive video. Does your noctua fan swap video on the CR-10 work for the MAX ? If I'm right, the MAX is an extended+ version of the CR-10, right ? Is the process the same ? Thanks ! :)
Great review and fixes! What "slicer" program are you using? I am getting my CR-10 max tomorrow and downloaded "Creality slicer" but I can't find the CR-10 max in the program.
You have learned very much and done so many prints with your experience with the BL touch sensor on this machine would you still change the capacitive sensor of an inductive sensor on the CR10s pro or would you change it out for a BL Touch like 3D printing Canada ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-de4b6HZIpNA.html did? Also your hypothesis was that the prints would turn out worse than the prints on the CR10s pro. What is your take on a comparison between the two printers?
Hey how are you? I am from Chile, I have had problems with this printer in relation to the calibration. i have used paper and the feeler gauge. What about you?. Regards, Paulina.
I enjoyed watching your review (NO fast forward) after almost two years of use, what do you think about it? Does it still work, have you added any modifications to it? I am sorry if you did further testing with this and I have not watched them yet, well worth a subscribe and bell.
Congratulations! It’s a very good Video and a perfect Help by Installing the Printer! The Video is very easy to Understand and so it was easy to make the Printer Ready for Take Off!
Can you please review the new Ender 5 Plus 3d printer by Creality? I was planning to purchase one but i hav not find enough reviews or good reviews to be sure for my choise!! Thank you..
I changed out my .4 for a .8 and was dissapointed by the quality, of course the lines are more prominent. I reverted to the .4 and decided to live with the loooooooooong print time for large prints..
Great review (as usual). I just got this printer, but do not have time to open it. I hope that Creality did the modifications you recommended. Now, only thing is that I plan to have it on my desk (that I made myself) so hope that there will be no need for it to be on the floor.
great review. Can I upgrade the hotend to an all metal hotend and if so what would you recommend? are the parts interchangeable with other cr10 printers?
Those rubber legs keeping the printer in place as when it's starts to print and move it's quite of momentum sense it's so large. That's why it's important to have some good and heavy support underneath like real full wood table. My papper/hallow ikea table is definitely not the good solution.
I’ll like to know the name of the installation material he put under the bed and tap to hold it together, anyone have that information I could not make out the name ?
