Cream eyeshadow beginner's guide is finally here! Thank you so much for watching. Note: I know I should have tucked my top up higher, let's all collectively ignore that 😅didn't want to have to re-film all of this..
@@Rain_Reign Anytime! If you want to see them in action on the eyes, RU-vidr Bailey B has a video showing several of the shades and the best way to apply them. The video is called "BEST Affordable Cream Eyeshadows + Application" and it's a great video. Enjoy!*
You’re so right about using a liquid eyeshadow as a base!! I was trying so many eyeshadow primers that did absolutely nothing and then I tried a matte liquid shadow per your recommendation and it works perfectly! No creasing fading or smudging!!
Because of You cream eyeshadow became my go-to! I love it I can get ready so quickly in the mornings but still have a fabulous eye look. I love how versatile cream shadow is
Amanda you’re quickly becoming my favourite RU-vidr. Since finding you I have found my go-to mascara (roen) and I’m now doing away with powder eyeshadow all together in favour of one and done cream eyeshadows. I really love how you discuss the under and over tones of products - it’s more helpful than you probably realise for those of us who don’t have a trained eye! 🏴 ❤️
Newer to your channel, what got me interested in watching your videos was all of your cream eye shadow talk... and tbh I don't know if I love you or hate you - my make-up wish list keeps growing with every video I watch 😉
I picked up that brush from Sephora during their insider event with another Rare Beauty brush. They're both great. I love the 18 with powder shadows, too!
I could listen to you talk about make up all day. I love that you always chat to us about products that are unique and aren’t necessarily trendy or well-known- true gems!
They the Ulta liquid eyeshadow and the Butter London liquid eyeshadows are my favorite liquid Formulas. The only thing is the Butter London ones are 24$ 😭
@@DanielleNicoleMakeup yes, glad you bought them, I bought some last summer for myself for mother's day then had to go get more because my sister loved them ❤
Amanda, since you like the Kiko sticks you should try their creamy eyeshadows (those that come in a pot). I think they're really good. For me personally, the stick ones are a nightmare! I've never been able to make them work for me. They just don't blend on my lids, and I swear I've tried every possible method. But I refuse to give up because you and Shelbey Wilson rave about them... Oh well, I'll try again tomorrow, lol.
This sounds odd but I really like your voice, it’s relaxing to listen to. I watch a few other makeup RU-vidrs and they’re great but I can’t watch them for a long time because something about their voice I just can’t get into. With you and a couple others it’s just so relaxing.
I love your channel and content. So glad I found you. Kackie kept talking about someone named Amanda so I earaches around and knew it was you because you’re a cream makeup lover. You share great info and I love how you show the application in your videos. Thank you!!
Amanda, have you tried Smashbox Always On Cream Eyeshadows? I just came across them and I am curious to hear your thoughts on the product. They have a variety of colors and it says they are mixed with a primer and lasts 24 hours. Please consider doing a video on these cream shadows if you haven't done so already. I'm excited for your product review!
An amazing video and so helpful for someone like me that has been too scared to try cream shadows!! The brush recommendations was amazing also!!! Thank you so much and I can’t wait to see your best and worst cream shadows video ❤️
Your channel is amazingggggggggggg. Can i just say now that I was here at 50,000? Because I feel like you’re a hidden gem here on RU-vid and you won’t be for very long! Thank you for being so detailed and thorough and for showing all the products on your face in natural or realistic light as you talk about them!
As always, love your cream videos! I'm obsessed with your content and love all the time and effort you put in making the videos. Keep em coming! I would love to see a video about your summer looks/skincare routine.
I have one from Buxom that had been discontinued for so long I should probably throw it out but I still use it 😅😅 it’s probably one of my favorite formula. I really enjoy the scattered lights from Hourglass when I want a little more glitter.
The eye soots are such an underrated gem of a shadow. They were one of my first leaps into a cream shadow outside of the Mac paint pots from back in the day.
I happenstance upon your video and wow it's exactly what I needed! The "one and done" shadow that is becoming popular is new to me, by watching this I feel I have a chance at being successful. Especially appreciate your brush suggestions! I subscribed!
I got the Ulta Matte Cream Eyeshadows a few weeks ago on your recommendation and they’re amazing. I haven’t gone without them on a makeup day since. They blend like a dream and are so easy to use. I also got New Moon when you mentioned it in your Chanel video and I’ve already gone through half the pot because I wear it almost every single day. It’s so gorgeous and I get so many compliments on it. I’m just annoyed I’m hooked on a Chanel product now. 😂
Ugh you really make me want to get platinum or oyster pearl. I’m just worried that they’re going to look too intense because I always feel like eyeshadow looks way more dramatic on my pale skin than it does on other people.
I think oyster pearl will look fabulous on fair skin. It's buildable so you can go as light or as heavy handed as you want. I want platinum so bad, but can stomach the price.
Try one of the Sydney Grace cream shadows. They're $8 and have a ton of shades. There are many swatch videos on RU-vid if you want to see the shades in action.
I would *love* to see a RdF brand overview/review! Also, this video reminded me of my (one) Illusion d'Ombre shadow from waaaaaaay back when they were first released - I went to apply it in my friend's bathroom and it had dried out just enough that it had pulled away from the sides of the pot, and at the slightest touch, the whole puck of product popped out and arced right down the drain of the sink. That baby didn't even touch the sides of the drain, nothing but net. I stared down into the abyss for such a long time, trying to decide whether it was still salvageable and whether it was reasonable to call the building's maintenance line ...
Hey girl I think you should test the new Joah Beauty BB Cream! I just picked it up tonight at CVS and am so excited to try it tomorrow. I would love to see a review on it from you 😍
I’m a one and done kind of eyeshadower. And love cream eyeshadows. I usually have to go for the ones that are ‘tattoo’ or ‘24hr wear’ because my eyes are hooded. What’s your fave eyelid primer? I’m in need to help them last longer 😭
Sadly, all the products and brushes from Sephora, Ulta and Rare Beauty are not available in the UK 😭😭😭 I liked the look of the Rituals de Fille pots of creaminess, so I'll be looking into getting them. 🌟🌟
Which of these brands would you say is the most moisturising? I tend to get dry patches/dermatitis on my eyelids so need something that isn't too drying. I've been using just powder eyeshadow up until now but thought I'd give the cream ones a go to see if they're better.
@@aprileaton9025 I have Supreme and want Globe so bad! I bought mine brand new on Mercari for like $10. Have you spilled yours yet? lol they spill so easily!! Kosas has a 3 pack on their site for like $35!!
I haven’t spilled mine yet :) thanks for letting me know about the 3 pack! I have green eyes and Globe looks really nice with them. What color is Supreme?
*Mally Beauty Evercolor Shadow Sticks are some of the best quality cream eyeshadows and they've got a ton of gorgeous shades. Many times you can get variety packs on the QVC website at a huge discount. (5 or 6 for $30) I can't tell you how many times I've found them deeply discounted around Christmas time.*
Great stuff just trying out creams as I have crepey dry lids and powders now look terrible. Have youvtrued silicone applicators. Uve just bought a set andcthd idea wasvkess drag????
Do you find that the ritual de fille crease on the eyes? I'm a bridal artist and I have several of the CT and Tom Ford formulas. Maybe I'll venture out into danessa myricks. I've been holding off on replacing my Mac point pot shades in search of other options.
Those matte base shadows, such as the danessa myricks and the Covergirl and the Ulta matte base shadows you recommend look so so dark when you put it on the back of your hand or another surface, but then they look all right on your eyelid, rather than too dark. On the monitor/screen, as I am viewing you, your skin looks light like mine but these Shadows that I just mentioned are still dark from what I can see. I think they would make my eyes look too small.. Yet they look good on you. Maybe your skin is darker and it's just hard to tell since I can't compare/// there is nobody standing next to you to compare-- anyway I will still try a matte Shadow underneath because that's a good recommendatio!👍🤗.
For some reason during covid I really got out of watching makeup videos. Not yours! I looove watching the videos when you talk about any cream shadow. They are now becoming my new fav. I only have a few so far
Get one of the Sydney Grace cream shadows, instead. They have gorgeous shades, they $8 and there are many swatch videos on RU-vid, I'm sure you can find shades that look extremely similar to Platinum.
It's not that easy to get. I tried finding it online after several RU-vidrs recommended it over time, and it is sold out everywhere online. In the end I managed to find it on ebay.
@@beckyshaknovich7554 It's still on the way to me at the moment so I haven't tried it! Haha, but I am pretty sure I will like it. I have tried the Tom Ford formula in another shade before.
I legit use a single fluffy brush for my eyeshadow but recently I'm super into cream eyeshadows and really struggling to find the right brush to apply the color and blend the edges with the same brush I really don't wanna invest in two separate brushes for it - does anyone have a suggestion?
