1 (8 oz) carton of mushrooms, cleaned and chopped
1 clove of garlic, minced
2 T butter
1 c milk
1 tsp onion powder
1 T gluten free cornstarch
Salt and pepper to taste
In a sauce pan or iron skillet, over medium heat, add butter and sauté mushrooms until soft. Add garlic and quickly sauté, being careful not to let it burn. Into the milk, stir cornstarch and onion powder until well combined, add to skillet. Stir until well combined. Simmer until desired thickness is achieved. This can be simmered down to equal 1 (10.5oz) can of cream of mushroom soup.
