Moreover, it just looks really nice. Put on some goggles, hold a toolbox in your hand, and your look will be basically screaming "I am the architect/engineer here!"
Your telling me! Usually included quark or charm for crates and IE for its toolbox in my packs. But this makes both of those obsolete. Would love to see what kind of automation the community comes up with. Let alone how well this would work with your Building gadgets.
I hope they are also working to some cool AE-like storage system. Not necessarely the storage part but having a unified interface for all your chests and autocrafting on demand would be cool af. I can see it being closer to the old logistic pipes rather than AE though
@@DrunkGeko there is a bit of autocrafting. Think of this, put a toolbox as both input and output for a farm / factory then use a crafting blueprint. The mixer can do a bulk of the shapeless crafting while shaped recipes just get piped into mechanical crafters. The output can be piped back into toolboxes.
They should add a tool belt to the base game, if they want to keep the idea of players having to choose between different things. Those could take the pants slot and give the player an extra hotbar line that you could swap with some key. Then make an extra powerful version of this using shulkers to get 6 extra lines, or something like that.
this is gonna be so amazing for when you are building a factory and only need one or two of these to have all the slots you need. Also making one and just putting a lot of shafts/ gears/ belts into it will be great too and i know im going to make one of these that im just gonna fill with iron tools and sandpaper
For building you could go even further and have it automatically refill the toolbox as well. Just take toolbox with some hoppers, a toolbox filled with fully filled shulkerboxes and a toolbox that you actually select the items from
One useful thing I can think of for this would be for food around your base. If you hook it up to a farm to fill it automatically, all you'd have to do is walk by there and your food slot will refill.
Interesting. A few days/weeks ago DocM77 show off the shadow block technology inside vanilla minecraft that allows you to have a inventory synced with hopper. He then asked the comunity to come up with a vanilla solution. I wonder if this was related.
What doc meant was probably the fact that item shadowing is so fragile you can dupe items by accident sometimes. Also the "dragging breaks it" thing is stupid, and some edge cases with dropped items. In other words, if Mojang embraces the glitch they could make it a lot less unstable by improving stack management in subtle ways.
I feel like this wasn't related to Doc's showcase on Hermitcraft, specifically because this idea shows a level of refinement that says it's been in development for weeks, if not longer. However, the Shadow Item technology has probably also been in development for a while, so there's a chance these were developed in parallel.
This will make autosorting a ton of items super easy, barely an inconvenience. The ability to dump items to multiple inventories at once, each toolbox acting as an item filter, color coding, and possibly being able to access inventories through walls. I'm literally salivating. I can't wait till 2022 and I finally have time to play.
I think that the tool box is a very good early and late game item! But... in the late game it seems that it needs something more: maybe make it upgradeable with the precision components (maybe in the same way that they are made, with "mechanical hands" (i don't remember the exact name right now)), so you can upgrade your toolbox maybe with extra reach (maybe 12 blocks instead of 9) or more slots (maybe 12 instead of 8) ecc... It will be nice to upgrade this very useful item!
I love these! I can see either inspiration from shadow item similarity and also like having toolboxes nearby in a workshop to pull tools and items from, this is just so neat
This is too funny, so yesterday I looked you up to see if you did a video yet, then I looked you up 2 hours ago THEN you finally do a video on this thing the moment I subbed lol must be magic.
Attach it to a food farm so it automatically refills a dedicated food slot in your hotbar when you are near, maybe even useful for when you are afking something for long periods and are worrying about starving while you arent there
Bruh I'm playing above and beyond on a server and this knowledge is going to be so helpful for when I start to really kick up my automation and stuff. Just finishing automating andesite alloy had my inventory hella clogged so this'll be great.
Just to add, with the improved mouse mod(unsure which)that allows you to middle click an item and place it on your hotbar also works with the toolbox extra features. Makes them extremely more useful with less pressing ctrl.
if the hotbar refilling works when you die would be great for quick contingency tools to refill to get your stuff back! Also this would make for a great bulk storage system, 32 item slots is a lot just for a single box! more than a regular sized chest! I am imagining what I would do with this now... sounds awesome!
I can just imagine having an array of tool boxes that you can just walk into a room, inventory full of building/crafting supplies, hit a button, and bam, clutter be gone, then they can funnel out of the tool boxes and into your storage system.
the enchantment level is OVER 9000!!!!! can the range be extended by placing a lot of toolbox around your base, would it work as a normal chest if attached in a moving contraption
Hey, do you know if they already fixed the rendering bug/problem with trains? Mainly with optifine at certain angles, it would not render anything at all. Also keep up the great work, see you are still keeping up with everything around the Create mod and enjoying making some content for us to enjoy.
Im not sure if I missed it but does it work while in your inventory? can I use it like a dank null? where we carry it around and it vacuums up items you pick up to a designated slot in its inventory. The dank null also has the regenerating stack feature but it can only do one slot at a time so its kinda annoying to use multiple blocks, this seems like it would work as a much better implementation of that.
Since they can have push and pull events on them then this is going to be an amazing way to do automation with simple storage. Wonder if they can be dispensed?
Imagine being so based; you create a new type of tech mod to already hypermodded MC. not only do you create a massive revolutionary hit; but KEEP implementing visionary mods for the community like *mwah*
Even tho i love create i think it doesnt have a use in modpacks, cause nowadays mods are just so op that a mod that is hard to master likr create can be obliterated easily, why build a massive miner that cant auto store items to ur base and its hard to build when u can make mekanism miner in 1/3 of that time? So yea for me, create is just missing the opness that other mods give, maybe make it so you can configure how op create is so modpack creators can set everything up easily?
Definetly super useful, maybe a little too OP as someone else pointed out but I think it fits. I was thinking of using it for carrying lots of gears, shafts, and generic contraption bits to save inventory space and be able to store them more effectively. Since they work with conveyor belts and such, it could also be placed down at the end of an assembly line where you produce a lot of gears or shafts and automatically refill anything you used while you were out and about
May I ask what modifications you are using for the menu that can show the crafting recipies of every items in the game? Also, do you have any other modifications that could be useful? Thanks.
No matter how much I look I guess my brain can still not figure out how to work this every time I think I get it I get lost seeing everything go together and my brain is dumping out what I just seen I wish I knew how to work the mod waiting to download until I figure it out because it’s wonderful
@@polartt I tried it and even tho my computer isn't the best, I'd say it can take quit something. The first loop of 64 toolboxes in each slot of the shulker each filled with completely full shuckers fried my computer
do they work on minecart contraptions? could have a little thing on rails to follow you into a cave with all your gear on and for easy dumping of ore and such
I am just here looking for U.G.T.T. (Ultimate bluh bluh bouh to trains) part 2 and saw the date for this video, something tells me that it will be here soon
Bugs found. 1. Add a big Minecart Contraption to the Toolbox and you no longer can open it :( 2. Using a Minecart Contraption with a chest and add it to the toolbox. It will be assign to a slot. Take it out and add som to the chest and it will bee seen as a new entity in the toolbox and needs to be saved to a new slot. Will not auto retunr
Can this be piped into? I would like to have an exporter exporting cobblestone linked to my Refined storage storage system so that i have an unlimited auto replenishing supply of blocks for scaffolding
can you put a toolbox in a shulker box? if you can, i dont think you would be able to put a toolbox filled with shulkers inside a shulker, or vise versa.
So the linking feature is like shadow items but worse because there's a range /j Also what happens if you put a toolbox inside a shulker and put that inside a toolbox?

If placed on hoppers, do the items get taken out? If so, then you could use them as a shortrange wireless item dropoff for specific items. You could imagine one with ores above a furnace for example
