Woah this is a game changer. I might be able to add simple 3D animations into my videos without learning Blender from scratch and wasting countless hours rendering! Not to mention actually using this for its intended purpose of an instruction manual. This is awesome. Thank you for showing us all what Cadasio can do.
Very interesting add-on. Do you know what people love? Lists! They go gaga over lists. You can even spice it up by putting the word "Top" and then a number! Such as "Top 5.83 add-ons for Fusion360". That's a panty-dropper right there. And then once you decide which add-ons you want to showcase, you can make a video showing how to use each one. The point being, to show how Fusion360 is a more of a holistic program rather than a standalone one. It can be central to a workflow instead of an add-on itself. If Fusion360 not only is used as a CAD design software but also an animation (like you showcased), engineering design (spring design, gear design, tolerance, motion, FEA, etc.), file management, workflow management, etc. process, that would cement it in a person's and companies mind.
Yep, always an informative video. The add on itself is also a brilliant piece of work. Let's hope they let us hobbyists use it for free for ever. Thanks
Hi Kevin! First of all I wanna thank you for the knowledge spreading you're doing here, I couldn't run my 3D printing projects without your priceless content. Once said, I would like to ask for a thing. I recently introduce myself into visual effects modeling and I'm facing a problem with quad meshes. I know your channel is more focused on engineering and 3D printing, but I thought could be a good content for you to teach us. For VFX workflow, you need a mesh with big amount of triangles in order to create realistic textures. I've been searching on internet as crazy to find some sort of way of increasing the mesh density from a Model workspace, but I didn't success. Hope you follow along your journey and keep going! You're an inspiration for many!
Great video as always. I’m interested in your thoughts of when to use this vs building the plans directly in Fusion 360 using drawing and animation tabs.
Great question. For starters, a lot wil depend on where/how you want to share with folks. Big downside to F360 animation workspace is that you can only export to a mp4, which you would have to host somewhere. It also doesn't allow customers to view it in 3D like Cadasio does... nor can you add all the labels and steps. For 2D instructions, it could go either way IMO. There are some pros and cons to each. You're making woodworking plans, right?
