in case your Data is not getting saved then go to Data Card advance option and in the Update field change 'DataCardValue.Selected.Value' to 'DataCardValue.Selected.Result ' and you will be good to go.

If we have more complicated data with lots of rows or multiple columns, do we need to build the Source List in a flat structure? i.e. we can't set any of the fields as Lookup in order for it to work? For example, if I have a list with Company Name, Staff First Name, Staff Surname, Staff Email etc. Would it be possible to just select Company Name, and then it will ONLY show the First Name, Surname and Email of staff members that work for that company and not other companies? Thanks for this video helped me alot.....evrything is working...but once an item is created in the list am not able to edit it...when i select and click on edit it shows getting your data(only this msg is displayed) isn't allowing me to edit, should i do some configuration to edit an item
dropdown working fine and it saves data in my main list. No issue on that. However in power automate I cant find dynamic value for these columns, how to get that? I need the value to powerautomate email flow I need to send an email when new item is added by powerautomate but in dynamic content I can only see coloumn names as these are single line text. It returns a blank result in email output
Could my sharepoint admin be restricting what Control Types I have access to? When I edit my control type, I only see View selection and Edit selection. On your screen there are at least 6 items displayed: View text, View phone, View email, Edit Edit, edit multi-line text, Allowed Values and the others are out of view.

Hi, wanted to thank you for the video and I have a question: I've been trying to do the cascading menus with 3 different columns but I'm not having any luck. I have a lot of data and the third cascading menu just doesn't work and all the things I find online refer to two menus just like your video (which is the clearest I've seen so far), do you have some advice on how to do it?

I have an issue now, I created a button to submit a form with the formula SubmitForm(Form2);NewForm(Form2) (it submits and refreshes the form) and it does submit it, but the entries that i selected come up in the list either empty or showing the number 50. Do you have an idea of what could be wrong? I'm pretty sure I did something wrong in the drop downs cause I have a free text field and a date and those work perfectly.
nice video. I wanted to create a 3 levels cascading dropdown, but when I change the control type of the 3rd field to "allowed value" i get an error un the formula..is it limited to just 2 levels?
I have similar requirement, But i have 2 lists, Agency and User. Agency contains list of all agencies and User has look up column agency and another column as user name. I am referring agency List lookup from agency List and user name column filtered based on agency selected. ( there can be zero or more users from one agency). This formula is not working in that case. Can you help me modify this as per my requirement,

Very helpful tutorial, but I noticed that after I followed the steps, Id get an error on the fields that I am creating cascading menus, which at the end, although working on the form, it would not load data into my SP list. I noticed that in your tutorial you got the same errors after connecting the fields to the data. How do you solve for this?

i just found out it happened because the value is not displayerd because it didn't saved the data . i tried to do ur suggestion in pinned comment but i don't think its working still empty data.

The video is correct up to the point of testing if this work. the presented did not press save. if he did, he would have known that the field default card settings are incorrect. now I need to go through comments to look for whats wrong.
Great video. I tried, everything worked, but ... how do I save the record? I make a choice, but choosing "save", but saves empty fields (Region and Country save, but only empty)

@@LernenTech Thanks. The DataCardValue.Selected.Result function working for the Region. List - the record works, but with Country such - the DataCardValue.Selected.Result functions do not allow recording. Possible only DataCardValue.Selected is available. Where might the problem be?
