Damn. The quality of your tutorials is insane! That reverb tip by itself was an eye-opener. I‘ve been putting reverb on my kick for ages but I never thought about eq‘ing before the reverb, I always did it afterwards 😅
Thank you for all the high quality content! It would be great if you can remake the bass from Kasst - Leaving Earth. I've trying for a long time now but I cant get the heavyness, clarity and width right. You would make my day if you could give an insight😬
OK so now Pop music is called Melodic Techno and Colyn is the new Avicii? Like Skrillex was Dubstep. Mildly amusing. Oh, an the call and response narrative again.
If that’s how you personally look at it, then sure!! Everyone should have their own opinions on music. At the end of the day none of us know what we’re talking about, right?! Haha it’s all subjective, taste. No one is right or wrong ♥️ but on the amusement side, we’ll try harder next time because that is something we can control haha 👊
@@TheCosmicAcademy Genre definitions have their place and are not entirely up to personal assessment. Using the wrong label can be false advertising. It can also be disrespectful und cultural appropriation (as is the case with Skrillex). It is not a new thing though. In the 80ies and 90ies there were bands that looked and marketed themselves as Heavy Metal but where Pop band (Whitesnake, KISS) and actual metal bands that did Pop ballads (Metallica). They call these 'power ballads' in a smart marketing move. People accepted that. Afterlife has been ironically called 'Man Trance'. Nothing against 80ies inspired Pop music. I listen to Pop myself. But this is too far out of the genre to be called Techno. Perhaps Colyn wouldn't even say it's Techno. I don't know. Your analysis and tutorial is good work.
