Finally subbed. I would just like to point out though, as much as having a bunch of kicks in a drum rack IS a practical solution to finding a decent kick, I have found that, that makes you more dependant on those particular kicks and doesn't really encourage you to look for other samples, which in turn, moved me to making my own kicks in serum or kick 2, because, the kicks I have... Just don't quite cut it a lot of the time. This way I can make a kick that works with the mix, and if it fits, it sits! 😄
Happy to have you part of our fam here!! And totally, making kicks truly gives you the customization to really fit a kick in the mix, compliment your bassline, etc!!
@@TheCosmicAcademy nah im aware of that, its just a running meme to just say “x views in x amount of time, bro fell off” gen Z stuff, shouldve clarified. Tho thanks a lot for these videos they help A LOT. So i appreciate it and i hope to gather some buckaroonies to actually apply to your program and pay for it, different country, diffeent economy. Hits hard. Have a great day out there
1:30 you can't flip phase... you can only flip polarity... and then you might still have wavecycles not linked up. Resulting in either a more pronounced transient, body or tail.
I started making music for fun with magic music maker 2000 24 years ago. That software was pretty cheap but it had a simple but really useful feature I would like to have in Ableton Live 12 but they didn't implemented it. This simple feature is the possibility to pitch the sample/loop audition in real time, straight from its sampler browser. To give an example and to explain why I think it so useful, let's say you find a beautiful piano rhodes lick. You like the color and how it's played but unfortunately it's out of key. With this feature you can quickly check if that lick actually fits with your song when transposed in the correct key in real time, speeding a lot the process. I really hope they will implement this function as soon as possible. Btw, I really like this kind of no bla bla bla no bullshit format! Straight to the point! So much easier to follow. 🤝
With loop auditioning in the browser, will a large sample library slow down ableton in any way? I have around a 1TB of samples in my external HDD and have never loaded them via the browser
Moose oh no!!! But also did you do the panning for tip 30 without splitting it to left/right stereo pan mode and thus kinda lose some of the sound (even if it did work for the stereo imaging purpose of the tip)? Also yalls vids r da bes
Sick video, quick question though at this part of the video 1:49 you import all those kicks, can I ask where you got those kicks from or is it secret sauce? ☺
Thanks 👊 Hahahah I’ve actually made a video on how I do it! Pasting it below: SECRET KICK RECIPE: Best Way To Sample Kicks From The Pros ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-slWhNujTSeY.html
