The sequences gearshifts only go 50 blocks. I needed about 80 for my elevator, so this makes more sense.

sequenced gearsift plus the pully to make multi story elevator

Instead of the redstone links you could use a redstone controller, portable, I will try my theory, also i was stuck on this for days untill i saw this lol

odd, me and my friends have optifine and it seems to work fine for us, it might depend on the version or it may have been patched idk

yeah i tested it that way first, but just liked the simple floor platform better.

yes and yes, just make a hole big enough to fit the number of floors you want if you want to be pretty dig two blocks down at any external part of the hole in the floor you want, from there dig 4 blocks to the oposit direction of the elevator and starting from the last block put a signal receiver and whatever you want to put as the frequence, the lever in the video witch i forgot the name and put a slime piston with some random block, now where you put the rope thing put a little bit of redstone and another receiver of the same frequency in a line with the other and voalla when you press the button of the floor you wanna go the piston will activate and stop the elevator from going deeper, the only thing that i couldnt figure out was a way to make the elevator go down after you stop on that floor

yeah making any elevator into a multi-level elevator is always too difficult to bother.

Into the ground is easy - just build this design underground. For multiple floors, there are many ways to do it, mostly difficult if u want to do it right.

Put deployer with chest filled by rails on minecart.

last i checked optifine doesn't support forge

@@DWal32 Optifine is literally built around using either Forge or MCPatcher.

@@TwistedChungus maybe older versions, but the current one doesnt seem to be based on forge, and what is MCPatcher?

@@DWal32 It can if you use a .jar file in the mod folder, allowing you to use more mods

@@destrocore50 at the time of me writing that comment, optifine for that version did not exist in a jar form. It was only a profile thing that ran a custom script, and had nothing to do with forge or mcpatcher. Now you can use optifine with it because it is technically a mod.

step one: make a mods folder in .minecraft step two: download a mod that you wanna use step three: get the version of forge/fabric that matches the mod version 3a: close the minecraft launcher 3b: download the installer 3c: extract and run the installer step four: move the mod into the mods folder step five: profit

There are many ways, all difficult.

Sounds like your chassis are attaching to other blocks during the movement. Did u lower them all down to 1?

yes there are a ton of ways to do it, but can get complicated. if its 1 extra stop, you just need controls from both top and bottom with resets. anything beyond that gets crazy.

mechanical pistons only go 50 blocks maximum. my survival elevator neede ~100 blocks.

yeah, speed up the rotation powering the pulley.

@@monkeyfarm Ok so as it turns out, that version simply bugged out the model of the rope, but it is there and works as intended, it's just invisible. To be fair, they should fix it.

Edit: I have realized it needs brass sheets, and not gold sheets... Well at least I figured it out, lol

You can have arbitrary buildings attached to minecarts which can build and collect rails automatically, even at an angle. So, an airship using that mechanic would totally work and would be steerable.

Sounds like your chassis are grabbing onto the surrounding blocks at the bottom, so the pulley cant pull it back up.

Optifine causes you to fall through - uninstall/turn off optifine, and no problems :)

I think that’s an optifine bug. Try turning optifine off or uninstalling.

hmmm i dont know then. maybe make sure you reduce all the chassis #s to '1 block' - maybe theyre trying to grab immobile blocks so they disappear when you try to lift the chassis.

@@monkeyfarmLittle disclaimer: I work with Enigmatica 6 (a modpack containing create and much more). I just ran into the same problem. However it only happens playing on a server, using vertical slabs (no matter if it's quark, environmental or supplementaries). Sadly, these are quite nessesary for me to make a 3x3 carrigae look good, but if I want to use them, they only seem to work in singleplayer. Maybe the right click simply sends a blockupdate from the server t the client.

Optifine causes this... You can stand on them if u don’t have optifine.

yeah any number of ways... eg. set up a different trigger too call the elevator rather than the button.

not sure, if they havent increased the length that the pulley can drop. u may need to build a 2nd elevator platform where the top one ends.

nevermind I found out the range is 90 blocks and mine was around 140 blocks down

You fall through? Thats an optifine bug. Turn off or uninstall optifine, and you wont fall through the chassis.
