Hello thanks for the video. have a question ? I do that on Twitch, is it normal that when he starts a new video in the playlist, he also restarts the stream?
Hi, just found your video and I find it interesting. I'm not a technical guy but was dabbling with OBS for live transmission to RU-vid and not sure how the Linode scenario would work in my case. I don't understand the pay structure and how this whole thing really works. If I'm using OBS my live transmission ends when I shut down OBS, but with Linode, it looks like I would have to upload a video for reruns and that means I'm no longer transmitting live. Please correct me if I'm wrong. Thank You
Hi, thanks for reaching out! Okay, let me elaborate. When using Ant Media you are still live streaming even if the content you're sharing is pre-recorded. Television shows often aired in this way. If you wanted to see the latest episode you had to be there at the time of the premiere. From the viewers perspective, what they are seeing is live, because it's only being made available to them if you are streaming it. The format that works best for you is entirely dependent on what you're sharing. That being said, there is a way to stream from OBS directly into Ant Media, but that's a separate video. I encourage you to look up the article, "How to use OBS with Ant Media" on their website to learn more. Hope this helps!
I did everything you showed and it's working perfectly, thank you so much! I have one question though, can we do this as 4K stream? Does the linode speed handle that? Because now I'm trying it with a testing video ( it's a very short 6 MB video with a 1080 p resolution ), it warns me that the speed is not good enough. How can we solve that? Thank you
Hey! thank you! There's a few things you could try. - regardless of the resolution, as of writing this, Ant Media works best with an MP4 codec. - If you're streaming in 4K the Nanode 1GB plan won't cut it. You'll need to choose a different one. Your server needs to be sufficient enough to handle it. You might experience freezing and lagging if there isn't enough bandwidth. I have yet to try streaming in 4K using this setup, but I'd recommend making those adjustments and seeing if it has an effect on performance.
hi there, looks awesome - I tried it & it works, but very laggy...my RU-vid settings are on low latency..How can i fix this & is there a way to make like 10 - 20 streams?
Listen, I want to purchase 20$ plan because I have to streaming atleast 30 pre-recorded video stream concurrently on my RU-vid channels for 24/7. I have few questions? After start broadcast, can we turn off the laptop/pc or stay turn on pc till I have to stream.
I'm not familiar with streaming on Facebook, but this setup requires a stream key and an RTMP address. If that information is available, then you can stream on Facebook using this method.
if you are being asked for a license you might have downloaded the Enterprise Edition. This will require a license key; however the community edition will not
